For those of us who don’t know you IRL, which one is you? Not that it really matters much to the nostalgia for times gone by.

Ahh, yes, 35 years ago … but feels like last weekend. Could be either one, amiright?

Hey Old NFO;
So you were in the Aviator sunglasses and the porn mustaches? must have been standard issue for the squid types, LOL
“Squid types”?
I had a set of those Ray Bans, and I DON’T Squid.
Kept ’em until Serengetis came out.
Bob- LOL
GB- I STILL have them… LOL
Looks like good memories.
Ed- We survived them… LOL
Brings back memories I was stationed at Comiso Sicily
in 1986 with GLCM (Ground Launched Cruise Missile program) who would have thought
MSgt USAF Ret, now GS
IIRC, those Ray Bans were The most expensive sunglasses commonly available. My first pair in ’68 were about $16, and my third pair in ’78 were about $26. Two of those were stolen. The dealer in ’78 said that that was the most common reason for the loss of Ray Bans.
I figured they were actually cheap at the price, since most people took very good care of them due to the cost. Everyone else spent lots of money buying cheap glasses that they lost, or sat on, or otherwise trashed. False economy in action.
