The only thing positive was the good company and the food!!!
It was a team effort, folks brought lots of stuff and most of it got eaten! AND they helped clean up too!!!
I haven’t watched any professional sports, including the idiot NFL babies, since they got all woke and kneely. Not going to support those overpaid morons in any way, shape or form. It’s a shame they have devolved to the level they have. But I’m glad you had an excuse to get together with friends.

There was a sportsmoneyball event last night? Hmmm, would explain the dearth of new programming on the tv.
There’s a website where the blogger speculated the reason Tampa Bay ‘won’ all the way to the stuporbowl was that Florida was one of the few states that had not clamped down on travel, thus there was a chance that the NFL wouldn’t lose it’s shirt on all activities associated with the stupid thing.
Sadly, his conspiratorial leanings… make sense. If you think that there is some ‘fix’ in the playing of the National Felons League, that is.
Won’t watch anything that has a ‘woke people’s’ ‘national’ anthem that is mandatory to pay attention to and respect when the same attention and respect isn’t shown to the actual national anthem. Though, since the Freedom Nation seems to be suspended or dead, who’s national anthem could they use to represent the new Oligarchical State we now live in? Cuba’s? Socialist Germany’s? (that would be the one we stonked on in the ’40’s, though the DDR’s would fit, too. Franco’s Spain? Wakanda’s?
Just asking so I can ignore until the Boogaloo or Common Sense comes…

I watched the second half with hubby this morning. We recorded it off AFN. It was just sad.

Decent excuse for a party. Which, in February, is a very good thing, seeing as we don’t have Fur Rondy and the Iditarod as excuses for a February party down here.

And then 40 days of Lent, followed by Easter and its party, and Passover tucked in there in the middle…
I’m sure we can come up with more excuses for a party along the way. Heck, if I can finish this WIP, maybe I’ll just throw a “finished the first draft!” party. And the poor suckers who show up can be voluntold to be beta readers…
I can’t boycott something I never took part in, but I also don’t begrudge anyone else their own entertainment. However, entertainment or not, I also don’t understand why anyone on this side of the political divide would give money to people who hate you.

When you watch what is billed as the major sports event of the year and can only comment positively on some of the advertising therein, I think we can safely say, you wasted your time.
