Showdown on the River!!!

The first novel in my new series, Showdown on the River is live!

It’s an 1870s western, hoping a few folks will like it since I finished The Grey Man series.

And yes, I’m going to take some heat for the cover, but it is dead on for one of the major plot points in the book, so blame me, not my cover artist!!!

Click on the cover for the Amazon link, as always.

The blurb-

Rio Bell is leading a cattle drive up the Goodnight Loving Trail to Fort Laramie. It’s his first time as trail boss, but with trusted hands and hard work, he expects to be back in Texas by late September though fire, flood, or rustlers bar the way!

He didn’t count on a range war.

They didn’t account for the Rio Kid…

And he sure as hell didn’t count on the girl showing up!

Honest reviews appreciated, as always!!! I apologize for the delay in getting this one out. I’d hoped to have it out for Christmas, but I got steamrolled by real life. My bad…

  1. Thanks for that. Just what was needed ahead of a wintery weekend.

  2. Downloaded (Kindle Unlimited subscription). I know that probably doesn’t do you as much good as buying it but $$, you know. I’ll leave a review as soon as I finish reading it. Almost through The East Witch by Cedar S.

    Thanks for entertaining us.

  3. Bought…I like “Book 1”. But I suspect you may regret that at some point.

  4. Bad- THanks!

    Hereso- Thank you!

Joe- LOL, it’s planned as a series. How long? I have no idea.

Mike- Maybe, but it will be a while.

  5. The book is making its way through the ether as I type.
A series? I hope you are, ……… serieus.

  6. Sir you have insulted The Lone Star State. /smiley face/

In the blurb you spell that great state’s name with a lower case ‘t’.

Didn’t stop me buying a copy though.

  7. And here I thought you were talking about OU vs. U-Texas! *ducks and runs*

  8. Bought it. Looks good. Now waiting for new Rim book.

IOW- What have you done for me lately!

Keep up the good work and stay well.

  9. Let me tell you something about Kindle.
If you get disgusted with Amazon and cancel your Prime account, you lose all of your Kindle books that you paid for.

    • You can, and should, download them. It’s possible, and with the use of a program like Calibre you can even reformat for other reading software.

  10. Damn it, man! How am I supposed to get up and watch Saturday morning cartoons if you’re going to sell a book I stay up all night reading?!

Also. Texas is not capitalized in the “About This Book.”

  11. Purchased! Now get that SciFi one completed so I can order that too!

  12. Got it and read it. REALLY enjoyed it, and would really like to read more of Rio’s adventures.
