Remember when this was the view we had?

Now, although the left swears up and down walls don’t work…

Yet the ‘Biden-Harris’ administration (yes that’s the new name), is keeping the capital better protected than our southern border… And they continue to refuse to say there is a crisis down there, but there is STILL a crisis (unnamed) surrounding the capital…

What happened to my America??? The one I spent 20+ years defending???

  1. Administration is the most offensively incorrect word in that label.

They’ve attempted to murder America, but it is not clear to me that it is dead.

My philosophy has long been that I will play such game out to the very end.

I’m a bit leery of saying my next thought, because there are ways to state it that cross lines I do not, at this time, intend to cross. I still have enough hope or ambition or greedy delusional denial that I haven’t burned /all/ of my boats and bridges behind me.

  2. What happened to America is complacency. We the people were to busy watching and going to baseball, football games and having our parties as well as getting the newest and best cars and trucks. Along with buying as many material goods and other toys we could amass that while we were so distracted the Communists infiltrated both political parties. They took over completely the Democrat party to where the word Democrat has lost its meaning. They are for all intents and purposes straight on Communist in policy and actions. The Communists now control the news media and all you get from them is the propaganda the Communists want released. If you think this is not true then show me where in the Main Stream Media there is an opposing view. They also control the information sites like Facebook, Twitter and You Tube through censorship if a posting criticizes the approved political line. No America, we allowed our attention to be distracted by acquiring material goods and now we are losing the rights that God gave us that so many died and served trying to protect. The only answer I can give to todays problem is that which is written in scripture. “If My people that are called by My name will repent and return to Me, I will hear from heaven and heal their land.”

    • No, the Democratic Party was an evil political organization long before they switched over to communism.

They have long been democratic, believing that stage managing riots for political profit was a licit activity when it was them, and they had a local majority.

They already felt, at a deep fundamental level, that there was nothing inappropriate for them to do, if they had enough support.

All communism did was give them serious delusions about their level of support, and provide a small amount of communist supporters who are deeply uncivilized; The communists should be put to the sword to clear the land for peoples capable of living peacefully.

    • “ What happened to America is complacency.”
You’re right. Our first alarm in 1993 WTC bombing, we hit the snooze button. Then 9/11and we trashed the clock and went back to sleep only to wake up and say what the hell happened?

  3. Also, hanging the crooked spawn of bitches is democracy if a large enough mob does so.

Only in a republic does norms and established process matter.

  4. The World Is Full of Walls That Don’t Work

I guess it’s who builds the wall that makes the difference.

    • If walls don’t work, then why is no one getting through the one around the Capitol? Oh yeah; the AMRY GUYS. Walls DO work for what they were MEANT to do; they are a deterrent for some, and they slow down the rest so that the army guys can do their jobs.

…If the army guys can’t or won’t guard our borders, then maybe it’s up to us…

  5. Biden has directed Harris to tell the countries to stop sending people. (So much for the asylum theory.)

  6. There is already a movement in Government for a $50 billion dollar security wall and a Capital security force (that’s not Capital police, think more military contractorish.)

And, yes, when the Media became the verbal operative of the DNC, fully weaponized against America (that would be during the Vietnam War, with it starting in the Korean War,) well, the rot from inside has been going on for a long time. The War on Poverty, which just ensured a large segment of society would stay in poverty. The mishandled War on Drugs. The Federalization of the school system. The EPA. The enhancement of powers of the BATFE. An unchecked and unpoliced FBI…

    Rot from the inside…

Just hope the ChiComs collapse before we do.

  7. All- Everybody raises good points, but I believe John nailed it. Complacency killed us… sigh

  8. “What happened to my America??? The one I spent 20+ years defending???”

Sorry to say it, but it’s gone and it’s never coming back.

The leftist tide is not going to be stopped with anything short of a revolution and even at the conclusion of a revolution, our country would never be the same, no matter who prevailed.

More likely there will be no revolution. The leftists will keep chipping away at our ability to organize and defend ourselves very slowly, they’ll continue to steal elections and consolidate their control over the levers of government and, by the time the majority of the populace gets uncomfortable enough to realize that something really bad is happening, it will be too late.

The fact is, this period of freedom and prosperity has really only been a blip in human history. We should consider ourselves lucky that we were able to live through it, even if at the very end. The vast majority of human existence has been characterized by serfdom, slavery, servitude and misery, ruled over by a small “elite” who were ruthless and unscrupulous enough to grab and hold onto power.

It’s really not that much of a surprise that we’re reverting back to the norm. I’m just glad I most likely will be dead and buried before it gets really really ugly. At least I hope so…when things start sliding downhill, they can go to hell very fast so there are no guarantees.

  9. Instant gratification using someone else’s money.
Old saying… “What cannot continue, won’t.”
    And this?
    Cannot continue.

  10. Because it’s been too long between wars of national survival, we forgot what it was worth and sold it to the highest bidder for cheap electronics and plastic crap.

  11. We were given a very good life by people who had to fight for it. And we and the following generations took it for granted. We sank into intellectual laziness and irresponsibility. And now if you challenge someone to present something other than a flying unicorn farting fairy dust as an argument you will be condemned.

  12. You should check out the wall around the Canadian Parliament buildings. Plus MPs (the equivalent to your Representatives) have had their office riding doors locked for a year. Some do not answer letters or return phone calls. We have a Prime Minister with a resume that includes such sterling achievements as bouncer, drama teacher, snowboard or skiing instructor??? who received less than 1/3 rd of the vote last election running the country like a kingdom. There hasn’t been a federal budget in two years. He has doubled the national debt in a year with no accountability…..your side of the 49th looks pretty respectable from here.

  13. To the blackpills and doomers: Like hockeysticks.

When the US was functioning, it was not a paragon of perfection, it was an imperfect compromise with serious flaws.

Achieving again an imperfect compromise with serious flaws will be an improvement over the current situation.

‘Need revolution, and it won’t happen’ argument?

Bottom up country, not a top down country. Bureaucratic infrastructure isn’t really in place for forced compliance, only voluntary. Voluntarily compliance is not a simple behavior, and can be adjusted to have different results.

Furthermore, holing up in the fuehrer bunker all the time weakens the ability of congress to influence the nation. Formal instructions are only part of leadership, influence, organization.

Thirdly, Biden and Harris are in different ways not in their right minds, and with things as they are, will not be able to avoid regime destabilizing mistakes.

Fourth, the seeds of this have been growing a very long time. Minimum of thirty years. Pelosi has been in congress that long, and Clintons, and Moter Voter. Yes, I am personally soft, and my cohort has failed in many ways. There is a point where the problems are long standing enough that no one can do the ‘well, it was fine, and then the youngsters let us all down’.

All organizations rot, and constantly require rebuilding to break even. Yes, the opposition has had a long time to work on a static situation, and have been able to make problems that will be costly to repair. We would have needed to bring in the younger generation, and set them to the task of repair, no matter how good a state we had left it to them in.

Fifth, under FDR, it might have been extremely demoralizing. Wilson, demoralizing. Would’ve sucked to be a Republican in the south after the end of Reconstruction. (And the Segregationists thought they were repairing valuable things in doing what they did.) In none of these cases was it game over.

    Do I have actionable ideas?

No. I am, seriously, where this stuff is concerned, pretty much an idiot.

The coolest recent idea I have had is state laws that bar ABA accredited JD holders from the state bar, and allowing people without JD. Which would be difficult to pass, and good luck enforcing it.

There is a wealth of options. Some of them are even sane, effective, and feasible.

A fix is going to require a lot of good ideas, implemented by a wide range of people. “I’m not smart enough to fix everything with one idea” is several fundamental misconceptions. We are looking for bottom up answers, not for a conservative ‘supreme intellectual’ to smite the ground to make a conservative ‘strong leader’ spring up from the earth riding a conservative white horse. We don’t need to understand the intellectual theory showing that our actions will have an effect. We don’t need to fix the whole problem at once.

Look at small parts of the problem close to you, and think about what you can do. Our gamble is only that enough others will do so, and that something will get kludged together. Far better to try, and die a martyr’s death for it, than to take counsel of our fears and do nothing.

  14. Where’s my ‘You Are Now Leaving The American Sector’ sign?

  15. All- Good points, differing opinions, but I LIKE the fact that at least here, we can still have an open and courteous discussion…
