So…

Apparently the $3.5T dem wish list is being labeled a ‘human infrastructure’ bill!

Bernie Sanders is ‘in charge’ of the economy…

For too many years the people on top have been doing phenomenally well, while working families continue to struggle. The time is long overdue for Congress to address the long-neglected needs of ordinary Americans, and not just the 1% and wealthy campaign contributors.  And that is precisely what we’re trying to do right now in Congress through an historic $3.5 trillion “reconciliation” bill.

It is unacceptable that the United States has more income and wealth inequality now than at any time in the last hundred years. Today, the two wealthiest people in this country own more wealth than the bottom 40% and the top 1% own more wealth than the bottom 92%.

Meanwhile…

Inflation is here, probably to stay as long as this bunch is in control…

YMMV…

  1. History repeats itself:
The way to crush the bourgeoisie is to grind them between the millstones of taxation and inflation.

  2. And remember, while you’re desperately scraping together funds, your noble betters will live high on the hog.

    Welcome to 21st century feudalism.

  3. Never mind that it is the poor and middle class (and their descendants) who will be paying the $3.5T. Jeff Bezos can retire any time he wants and never notice the increase in costs of gas or shoes. (Not knocking Lord Bezos, PBUH, even though I’m not a huge fan of what Amazon and the big box companies have done to small businesses, just pointing out that they are addressing wealth inequity by screwing the average American). And of course they never mention the million or so people that Amazon employs directly.

  4. And I still can’t get my tax refund because the feds are about three months from hitting their debt ceiling and they’re out of cash.

  5. Hereso- Shades of WallyWorld wiping out small department and hardware stores years ago… dammit…

    MC- Ouch, THAT sucks!

  6. Never ever forget that this ‘budget’ fiasco us being foisted on us by the same bunch that said a while back that we could spend our way out of debt……………

  7. One of the benefits of both of use being retired now is that our income fell from solidly middle class to “We’re poor”. It hasn’t hurt us because we have a relatively small debt load. But it keeps us away from those millstones of Lenin’s.

If this nonsense goes through, I plan on availing myself of every single thing I can. You want to give me my prescription meds for free? Thanks! You want to insulate my house, put in new windows and add solar panels? Well, come right this way gentlemen. Etc.

I’ll get back some of those dollars I paid in all those years, and help crash they system sooner. Since I feel the sooner it crashes the better, I consider this win-win.

  8. Apparently there’s a proposed tax on driving mileage in there as well. That should help with cost of living (*cough*).

  9. They’re going to build human infrastructure alright: More Democrat loyalists and clients in the organs of the administrative state and the rent seeking “private” businesses that depend on it.

  10. Gomez- Oh, GOOD point!

Free- I ‘like’ that idea. I might be able to get in on that too.

    WSF- True, dammit…

    Chip- Yeah, right.

Peter- I think you are correct. Sigh…

  11. Now just a doggone minute here. Do you actually mean to suggest that elections, or installations, may, possibly, have variable dependencies?
