  1. You can’t say that Xiden didn’t accomplish anything. He armed the Taliban, and got lots of Afghanis killed.

Kind of like how a bird feeder feeds the birds, including the hawks.

    • Related – the Taliban will execute more Afghanis over the next two years than were killed in the 20 years of war. And the USA will still be accused of “war crimes” by our own press.

  2. Treason – to not only Murder our own soldiers, but to give the names of Americans and allies to a known Terrorist Army, and for dessert, they ARM and Equip that same Terrorist Army with the latest and Greatest Military equipment that the American Taxpayer can be forced to fund.

As bad and Evil as the Political Royalty that dreamed up this disaster obviously are, the ones who should be drawn and quartered are the Military Leadership of of Armed Forces.
Who by trade and training knew EXACTLY how TREASONOUS these actions by the Political Royalty (Of both Parties) were and also KNEW that they would result in the Murder of Armed Forces Personnel under their Command.

The current Leadership of the Armed Forces should fall on their swords (LITERALLY) and would if they had any shred of honor. Which means of course that we will never see that happen.
Since Milley and crew will NOT take the honorable path, then the country must hold these Traitors to account for what they have done to those who serve, the country the supposedly serve, and every single Allie who has been betrayed for being Stupid enough to help this country.

    • If there was any honor in the top brass, they would have all resigned by this morning. But, as I expected, the payroll is still full today.

  3. IF (and that is a HUGE “if”) we cane ever get all of our Americans out of Afghanistan.
I suggest we disable ALL of the military equipment we left behind before the taliban and ISIS can put it to their own uses.

I suggest we disable all of that equipment “Thermally”

    From Orbit.

Any and all Afghan Allies should be fleeing to safe countries (NOT the US).

Our current Political Royalty (of BOTH Parties) that have been negotiating and helping the Taliban should be at ground zero to help guide our disabling efforts…

  4. ANY politician that tries to import ANY Afghan from the current flow of Taliban Approved refugees/terrorist agents should be tried for treason and then shot.

Same applies to those who have opened our southern border to an Illegal Alien Invasion.

I wouldn’t be opposed to letting them have a blindfold, but then again I am just an ole softie.

  5. I’ll not comment on the Military assets that’v been lost to the Terrorists, whatever their stripe, it is beyond belief, but, here’s one ‘thing’ that no-one seems to be mentioning, Money, and financial assets. I have limited fiscal knowledge but, it is abundantly clear that the Taliban has scored a MAJOR Lottery win regarding all Afgani financial assets that exist in Western banks around the world. I can only guess that multiple Billions of Dollars would not be an exaggeration, and that’s not including all precious metals held by those same financial institutions. As proven in the past, and still now, pretty much all financial institutions will desperately do their best, (worst), to have any form of access to this wealth. Swiss banks showed the way during WW11, providing secret accounts to the Nazi leaders to secrete their plundered loot, much of which is still probably hidden by those institutions, I would speculate. The Taliban have already said that it will change the banking system so it follows Islamic Banking ideology and practices, a very expensive, convoluted, confusing, and corrupted system, much worse than what is currently in place in the Western World. I’ll not go on, but their impact will be monumental, in the worst possible way.

  6. I think the reason pelosi dismissed congress and ran, was to stop any attempts at impeachment or 25th amending.
Because as soon as someone brings it up, they’ll have to follow through as he’s that unpopular now.

  7. What was allowed to happen is nothing short of Treason. Arming an enemy is a treasonous act. Biden and the top brass of the Pentagon have by not destroying this equipment prior to the withdrawal committed treason and they must be arrested and tried by a military tribunal. If found guilty the eir execution by firing squad must be ordered.

  9. If the other political party was actually TRYING to destroy the country, could they be doing a better job?
We are in trouble. If I’m goin’ down, I’m going down swinging.

  10. And while U.S. service members and Afghan civilians were being murdered the Army’s Sergeant Major was tweeting about diversity. Words fail me…

    SMA diversity

    • I had lost respect for E9s before I dropped my retirement papers, and E8s well before that.
There were a few that were salvageable, but… few.

  11. All- Thanks for the comments, and you’ve pretty much said all the things I was thinking, and y’all didn’t use any cuss words, which is better than I would have done. Stu- ‘Supposedly’ all the financial assets have been frozen, but they also got literal pallets of US dollars at Bagram…

  12. A half-century ago, I was an Army medic; the only weapons they gave me to play with after BASIC were a 1911 and an M-16; and the most complicated vehicle I drove was a deuce and a half.
My question is to those who have actually operated the big stuff:
On the list of things captured, are the high-priced items operable by the people who captured them?

    • Most of them, yes. Remember, they had to dumb a lot of stuff down to an 8th grade education. And if you look at the way a lot of the Taliban act, they’re professionally trained. Either by us, or the Pakis.

      • John, does that will apply to maintenance as well? Again, half-century ago, but the medical maintenance shop at the hospital where I was stationed in Germany had to work ALL the time to keep the equipment running. They worked more than anybody else on post, and it was pretty doggone sophisticated stuff as well. It might be all plug and play now, but my brain is showing me pictures of gear broken down by the side of the trail.
I’m not saying they are a bunch of idiots or fools, but crap, they took two months just to train my oldest boy how not to git kilt working with the Paladin.

        • You are right most of the vehicles will be inoperable without maintenance in 1-2 years the and aircraft will be down far sooner. My guess is some will go to china and russia to reverse engineer while the Taliban goes back to their Toyotas and someone receives a cash payout for the examples. A deal for the purchase of Chinese or Russian equipment and Technicians to maintain it might be in included.

  13. Best Movers Companies I believe Pelosi resigned from Congress and ran to avoid impeachment or the 25th Amendment being used against her. Because if they bring it up, they’ll have to follow through because he’s so unpopular right now.

  14. I just read anarticle by France Presse that the American forces have been pulled out of the military area of Kabul Airport by The Coward of the Country, Lyin Biden. Pictures of the Taliban taking over the military area were in the article. No American forces are remaining. Biden could not even give any Americans remaining a chance to try and get out. Aug 31 deadline another lie by this bastaed!

  15. Drang- He’s been relieved of command for “Loss of confidence”… Pathetic!!!

All- Thanks for the comments, and all I can say is the anger is growing…

    • I can understand, from a dispassionate perspective, that you can’t have officers going off like that. Rank, chain of command, etc, etc.

I’d love to go back and see if that rule was enforced during Trump’s tenure, though. I’d wager ‘no’.

  16. I have so many thoughts and emotions about all this I can hardly form a complete sentence. This seems almost certainly ‘aiding and abetting the enemy.’ Why is no one mentioning treason? Plenty of calls to resign but actions have consequences.

  17. David French and Bing West have written some great articles about how and why we are facing such an immediate, RAPID collapse in Afghanistan. Here’s the main thing I took away from reading the articles, and listening to a podcast French did (if you want to listen to it, here’s a link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWyU8iAq4yQ&ab_channel=PhilVischer)

In the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, America was immediately “the strongest tribe” as soon as we showed up. That’s why we had allies; forces wanted to be allied with the strongest tribe.
In Afghanistan, because the Taliban was NEVER eradicated from safe havens in Pakistan, it was ALWAYS the second strongest tribe. So, as soon as American support was withdrawn, our (former) allies did the RATIONAL thing, and either went over, or just took their weapons and went home. They weren’t poor fighters; they were just realists.
Key: at NO POINT since 9/11 was the Taliban anything other than the second strongest tribe in Afghanistan.
Here’s a link to an article David French wrote on August 10 which lays out the (bloody) bones: https://frenchpress.thedispatch.com/p/why-were-losing-afghanistan
