  1. Bingo! I resemble those remarks… those scenarios have happened too many times to be coincidences.

  2. I just made contact with three others who were in my squadron (VP-18)
    out of NASJAX. We had elbowed bars and honkytonks from here to the Black Sea back in the the early sixties. Connecting up with them was like no time had passed. The military is like a brotherhood that never weakens.

  3. All true. Meeting my shipmates in ’18 after 45 years apart healed a hole in my heart that I didn’t even know was there. Not just old friends, but brothers.

  4. Being in holes in the ground with 3 others or one other doesn’t help. I’ve been in 33 of them, 350 times altogether.

  5. Civilians will never understand. Bonds made that will never be broken. Some of the best men I have ever met and was proud to have served with them.
