Our dogs and cats always got along well together. We had a Burmese show up one day, and he decided our GSD was his best friend. The two of them palled around together all the time.

I own 2 dogs, 1 a Boston Terrier and the other a mix of Pug and Beagle. I also have 3 adopted cats. When I am relaxing in my recliner one of the dogs usually jumps up and lies beside me then one of the cats will either climb up on my lap or lay on the arm beside me and the dog and purr herself and the dog to sleep. I should add that the cat many times also purrs me to sleep. My wife says I was sleeping but I insist I was just resting my eyes. She then asks me if I snore when I am awake. I still haven’t come up with an answer to that statement.
Our dog really enjoyed the company of cats.
