I liked the part about not believing in politicians and politics (and his reasons for that.)
Politicians owe the people that paid them money, and ignore everyone else. They have to dance with who brung ’em. If you’re not one of the people paying them lots of money, well, good luck with that.
The whole system is rotten to the core, and those who are “in the club” are equally rotten. The “Democrats vs. Republicans” theater is just that, theater. It’s not real. The real divide is those who are in seats of power versus the sheep they fleece. (That’d be the rest of us.)
And that’s where I’ll leave that today, lest I break off into a rant, and that’s not what I’m here for.
