In the final hours of his term, President Joe Biden negotiated a prisoner exchange with the Taliban that released U.S. citizens Ryan Corbett and William Wallace McKenty from Taliban custody.
Not included in the deal, however, were U.S. citizens George Glezmann and Mahmood Habibi.
On Saturday, Secretary of State Marco Rubio posted on X that he was “just hearing” of the detentions of additional Americans by the Taliban.

And why were they left out of the deal? It really makes me wonder who was running this negotiation, and what really happened behind closed doors?
Is it time for the Marines to go get them? I’m beginning to think so. Let the Marines go, break things and kill people until they get ALL the hostages out of Iran, Gaza, and anywhere else they’re being held.
It used to be that the US took any measures required to get our people back, but this previous administration didn’t seem to be bothered to move on anything unless there was enough media pressure OR the right cards got played…
Frankly, I’m glad to hear that Rubio is serious about getting them back. Next up will be those Americans still held by Hamas, who ‘should’ have already been released. And kudos to him for putting a pause on foreign aid until it is reviewed. LONG overdue, and I hope a lot of the so called ‘foreign aid’ gets cut, because it’s nothing more than bribes or stolen by the leaders in power in most cases.

Yeah, there was a time when taking one American hostage brought the wrath of the US Marine Corps on the scumbags heads (Refer to the film “The Wind and the Lion”). Hell we went to war with England because they wouldn’t keep their mitts off our sailors. China Joe would have probably sent them a strongly worded letter and threatened to impose sanctions on tea, all while sending them bribe money. (Yeah, I lied about that snark mode thing).
Yeah, well, Trump’s freeze on immigration has screwed the work of organizations such as https://www.nooneleft.org/ When we left SEA we left hundreds, if not thousands, of indigenous brothers in arms who put their lives on the line for us as they were in active combat.
Our government has done it again in Afghanistan, leaving the rescue of Afghani brothers and their families to private organizations. Now our government, specifically Trump, has stopped even those efforts.
Biden let totally unvetted Afghanis in by wholesale. “No One Left Behind” thoroughly vets and provides realistic resettlement services to make productive members of our society. There are MANY still in daily danger thanks to the Taliban’s continuing pursuit. And now the system of rescuing them halts.
“Honor” seems to be perpetually missing from too many politicians’ vocabulary, including seemingly anointed ones.
Halts for how long? And did the groups know that some sort of halt would be coming, in time to warn their folks and make back-up plans?
I’m not snarking, I’m seriously curious, since I got the feeling that the incoming admin was announcing things to prevent surprises.
Leaving Americans behind? That’s demoralizing to normal Americans, and that’s why the commie bastards* did what they did.

Sending the Marines risks the lives of the hostages…who may or may not be where Intel believes they are..and lives of Marines. Instead you simply tell the Taliban to either release them or we use all of Afghanistan as a target for cruise missile practice until they are released. The towel heads are evil and ignorant but they aren’t stupid. Kill a few in a manner they can’t do anything to stop and they’ll come around. Target all those weapon systems that Pedo Joe gifted them… they are never going to return that stuff so we might as well render it useless.
They don’t care about their civilians or their cities.
Destroying them would only make images that our enemies in the media scream louder against us.
