One helluva game!!!
Florida vs. Houston turned out to be a game that lived up to the hype! Seesawed back and forth all night long, and sadly, somebody had to lose.
Last night, it was Houston. The stunned expressions said it all, and you have to feel bad for them. But at the same time, they never gave up, so kudos to them for that. It literally came down to the last seconds and a block by Florida and loose ball that decided it in the last 3 seconds. Final score, Florida 65, Houston 63…
Florida was down 12 at one point, but fought back. Boy, did they ever fight back!
Now back to your regularly scheduled stuff…
I am not, normally, a basketball fan. However I watched the games starting at the sweet sixteen and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Last night’s game was awesome to watch. As a Texan and father of a U of H alumni, I wanted the Cougars to win. A lot of exciting games during this season but the Championship game showed how a game should be experienced. Kudo’s to both teams for the show they gave.
Houston- Agreed!
MomRed rooted against Houston (loooong story involving a grudge that’s been taxidermied and mounted), but all agreed that it was a great game, and it was nice of the officials not to play*.
*As in, when the officials get too deeply involved in the game, we say, “The refs are playing too.”
TXRed- Yep, they were calling a LOT of fouls, but they were fouls. And they had no problems with reviewing calls if they were questionable, and putting time back on the clock where necessary.
