She is an embarrassment to Texas…
Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, a member of the far-left group of progressive lawmakers known as “the Squad,” told congregants at a historically Black church that America needs robust immigration because “we done picking cotton.”
Crockett, who represents Texas’s 30th Congressional District, made the remarks during Connecticut-based Grace Baptist Church’s 125th anniversary celebration held over the weekend. The comments were part of Crockett’s broader attempt to slam the Trump administration for cracking down on illegal immigration.
“So I had to go around the country and educate people about what immigrants do for this country, or the fact that we are a country of immigrants. The fact is ain’t none of y’all trying to go and farm right now,” Crockett said, garnering a sheepish laugh from a few members of the audience.

Hell, she’s an embarrassment to EVERYBODY with the BS she spews then tries to say she never said it…
Of course she represents Texas’ 30th District, which is Dallas and parts of Tarrant County HERE. Just like Houston and Austin, it is a ‘blue’ area in a red state, and it is not representative of the majority of Texans.
One wonders what she thinks she is accomplishing by spouting the stuff she’s saying? Is this the Dems policy? Or is this the ‘Squad’s’ policies? Or is it something else entirely?
She’s a lawyer, just like Sheila Jackson Lee, who represented Harris Co (Houston) was, and seems to have adopted her ‘ideas’ and outrageous behavior as the ‘norm’ rather than the exception.
You would think lawyers would know better, but I guess not…
If she is a lawyer then Law School and the test for the Bar must be so low in Texas that a five year old could pass it. She sure doesn’t act or sound like an educated person.
X2 I’m sure she passed her bar exam in Ebonics.
It appears there is a contest to see who is the dumbest Representative. Hank Johnson has been leading the pack for quite a while with his Guam “tip-over” comment. “Cotton pickin’ Crockett” is a viable contender.
Hey Old NFO,
If you look in the Dictionary under “Pander” you will see her picture, despite her elitist background, she is pandering to her base, wanting everyone to think she is from * Da Hood* and is *down with da struggle with da man*, yeah right, all she knows how to do is screech and hustle people for campaign for contributions from the myriads of suckers that make up the donors for the modern left that think that she is *hard* and *Represents*
Lawyers are trained at law schools by universities, by and large.
California, IIRC, allows anyone to access the bar exam, many other states are gated through a school.
There are reasons to expect drastically bimodal outcomes from university training within a program type.
You get communists, who are mostly also going to be race war nutters and murderous jew haters. You have everyone else, who have a more varied set of opinions about very critical aspects of law.
Communists are more sure that system manipulation can be accomplished purposefully, and that you can get the results you desire, instead of unwanted and surprising results from doing things that you forecast one outcome for.
I have an extremely negative view of universities as they now seem to be run. Okay, there are courses and programs that are situationally are useful enough to be time effective for some specific people.
You should have at least two different prediction models for lawyers. Crockett fits the crazy one, and would have been very badly served by her primary, secondary, and tertiary schooling. For her, you should weight the ensemble model prediction a bit towards the crazy/useless submodel, because she self selected into politics.
Beyond that, everyone now in congress has screws loose. Every one of them is betting that they have more of a political future now for being in congress now and immediately previously, compared to not being in congress. Congress has gotten many law faculty to collaborate on screwing over the formal legal system and the profession of law.
Congress has fundamentally made the calculation that they can frame a sitting president of civil war, and come out of any legal disputes over that with a win, despite that the controlling law very clearly establishes what powers the presidency has in civil war. The presidency was made for civil wars, literally(1). We’ve carefully not fully discussed or resolved certain legal questions arising from Lincoln and the ACW. That congress can establish on its own fact, or that the judiciary can establish on its own fact, as to existence of a civil war, and powers exercised by the presidency during that civil war, is not clear.
Yes, Biden regime tried to claim using executive power that such facts were established. To allow that any Biden uses of executive power might be valid, I would have to concede a point that I will not. But, if I were to maybe concede that point, it still might not matter, because the events occurred while Trump was sitting, and also that the general public may in effect be the superior court.
Fundamentally, Sotomeyer has effectively claimed that after 1868, congress and the supreme court could have overturned the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments. This is probably not a power that we can afford to concede that the Legislature and Judiciary are granted under the constitution.
This was a very stupid decision by Congress, recently. All members of Congress who were in that body during December 2020, and February 2021, should be voted out, eventually.
The situation with the judiciary and the legislative is irregular, and is not okay, and future incumbents post discussion may have some legitimacy.
The UCMJ is one of the fixes to the question of overbroad power raised during ACW and maybe also WWII, and does not violate the powers of the executive, because of the endorsement by the executive. The only remaining loophole not covered by the UCMJ is certain extremely improbable scenarios involving the unorganized militia.
Arguably, nobody has standing to argue that the unorganized militia was used in such a way, because we did not have the evidence in the dead bodies of a mass lynching of congress.
Right now, the university system has significant overreaches in claiming the pwoer to determine for he public which theories are and are not valid. PhD apartheid narrative.
They’ve been making garbage theory in certain fields for decades, and recruiting and training henwits and consensus followers to ‘carry forward’ those fields. Lots and lots of university product are badly trained by all levels of their school, and selected to pass courses because of connections or demographics. Many of these university products are also drastically insane, and have weighted their emotional experience around theory/publication.
Some engineering programs are still producing some halfway sane engineers, but none of the university professions is without some number of young lunatics.
(1) The articles of confederation were replaced with the constitution explicitly to juice up the presidency’s powers during civil war.
She does a good job of driving people to hate blacks in office. Too bad she has so much help.
All- Thanks, and yes, Bob, you’re on the money as usual!
The only thing Jasmine knows about cotton is that it needs to be washed in warm water.
I think that Crockett is trying to position herself to run for the Senate in 2026 and then President in 2028. Such an obnoxious, loud mouthed hypocrite thinks this is the way to higher office. I think the majority rejects her actions. She will claim her rejection is grounded in racism and sexism while it is a rejection of her politics which are only Democracy grift.
Democracy s/b Democrat
This tablet keeps on correcting me even when I enter what I want.
Evidence that the requirements to practice law are so low as to be non-existent.
John Deere picks cotton . Silly woman , raised with privilege far exceeding the upbringing of most , certainly her constituency , and my own . Shut it with the ghetto shit Sistah , Poser . Faker . Fraud .
Unfortunately, it appears she may be around for a while.
2024 Texas’s 30th congressional district election[41]
Party Candidate Votes %
Democratic Jasmine Crockett 197,650 84.9
Libertarian Jrmar Jefferson 35,175 15.1
She’s from one of the more … interesting districts in Texas, one where voting … irregularities … are regular.
And involuntary commitments were bad why?
She’s another stupid fucking black race baiter. Aint much else to say. The sooner we normalize calling them out the better. That particular hustle is past stale.
But then again maybe not. https://townhall.com/tipsheet/jeff-charles/2025/04/11/fec-opens-up-investigation-into-jasmine-crocketts-donations-n2655406
