We’ve dodged the weather bullets…

10 24

So far, the last two days, the weather has ‘split’ and gone around us. And I’m NOT complaining…

Well, other than I’m gonna have to mow again…grrrr

This has been a strange summer. Wetter than average, with lower temps. And we’re supposedly slipping into a La Nina weather pattern.

But the Farmer’s Almanac is calling for a wet/cold winter for us. The last time we had this stuff was 2015, so we’re a bit ‘off’ on the seven year cycle.

But we don’t really have a choice, do we? We just have to get through the year and the weather…

I just hope we don’t get any more tornadoes this year.

  1. May your weather be moderate, unlike your leftists.

  2. Wet – cooler summer sounds great. This weekend in the RGV of Texas, will be flirting with century mark this weekend. Scheduled maintenance of ranch tomorrow – I hope we make it out alive. Well – melodramatic aside, going to be hot.

  3. We missed the worst. Most went to the north, or the south. After passing, it cranked up again before moving into Louisiana.

  4. What a coincidence!
Steve published his off topic rant on my blog, too.

  5. Definitely been a weird summer. Cooler overall but hot for longer (we hit 90 multiple times this month). Rain in August. Absolutely no rain in September.

I second you on the tornados, I had my fill earlier this year when a small one tore up the substation that feeds my neighborhood.

  6. I hate blocking people, but I’ve had enough of ‘Steve’ and his off topic crap…

    Ag- One hopes…

    jrg- That’s going to suck!

    Jess- Yay!

    Ed- Snort…flying trampolines…

Jay- Oof,, glad y’all were okay!

  7. I used to be a weather forecaster. The weather will be what it wants to be, you can’t do anything except be prepared for whatever it throws up. Left the business as I like to make things that I can design and have control of.
