Democrats have a knack for downplaying political violence when it suits their political narrative, but Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.) took it to a new, disgraceful low on Thursday.
During a House Committee on Homeland Security hearing, the Mississippi Democrat, who previously chaired Nancy Pelosi’s handpicked January 6 Select Committee, decided to rewrite history. He referred to the targeted assassination attempt on American soldiers by Afghan Rahmanullah Lakanwal as an “unfortunate accident.”

Thompson was questioning DHS Secretary Kristi Noem and NCTC Director Joseph Kent. He attempted to trap them in a bureaucratic gotcha moment regarding asylum paperwork. In the process, he revealed exactly how the Left views threats to our nation. Thompson looked at Secretary Noem and casually referred to “the unfortunate accident that occurred with the National Guardsman being killed.”

No matter the party these people have been in Congress for too long and do nothing good. We need term limits for Congress, the Judicial, and all employees of government.
Thompson of MS is an example of how bad they are. We have a few good on the Republican side but not many. They are really UNIPARTY. They have written laws to go around the Constitution and we have many agencies that should not be there.
Democrats are never embarrassed. They care nothing about their own hypocrisy. Verbally “pwning” them accomplishes exactly nothing. Verbally “pushing back” on them accomplishes little more.
They are zealots. Their only standard is power, and using it against their enemies (We, the People of the United States).
Same congresscritter that questioned a General about Guam getting to heavy on one side and tipping off into the ocean.
