Guilty!!!

I was watching this one to see which way it was going to go, it is Wisconsin after all…

A jury found Milwaukee County Judge Hannah Dugan guilty of obstructing federal immigration agents during an attempt to serve a warrant at a courthouse earlier this year.

She faces up to five years in prison on the felony obstruction count.

Dugan was arrested in April after helping Eduardo Flores-Ruiz avoid plainclothes Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents who were trying to serve him a warrant. Prosecutors said Dugan helped Flores-Ruiz and his attorney exit her courtroom through a back door on April 18, after learning that ICE agents were in the building to arrest him.

Full article, HERE from Fox News.

I know the verdict will be appealed, but maybe, just maybe, this will be a wakeup call to the judges/DAs/others that you can and will be taken to trial and the jury may find you guilty when you try to play games with ICE/CBP!

Now if they would do the same to these protesters that think they are above the law…

  1. Now will she be removed from office? Because as I understand it, she remains in office, even though she is in Fed Country Club. She has to resign or be impeached to leave office.

  2. We can hope. Alas, the WI Supreme Court was moved to the left in the last election, so it’s not the same SANE court that correctly dope-slapped Gov. Fascist *twice* during the Great COVIDiocy.

  3. Hey Old NFO;

    I have no faith that they will do anything to her, she will be folk hero to the lefties in Wisconsin, The court system will “circle the wagons” to protect her and nothing will happen to her, as much as
    I would like to see her spend some time in the clink as a warning to others.

  4. Had she been a conservative, she’d have been given three life sentences to be served consecutively without the possibility of parole AND to be held in prison during the inevitable appeals.

  5. Next will be a book deal, championing by the liberal media for standing up to her twisted principals, and an avoidance of how egregious her crime actually was.

  6. Will she get the same treatment by the judge that the Somali fraudster got, being acquitted because the prosecutions case is just circumstantial evidence? That seems to be a good excuse. Or maybe the judge will acquit because she was just doing her official duties.

    Hey, judges have to hang together or they will hang apart!

  7. I’m in ‘Meh’ mode on this till I see results.
    * Prison time to match the crime
    * Tossed off the bench
    * Disbarred from holding a law license

  8. The guilt verdict is only half the battle. A MEANINGFUL punishment is just as important. So we shall see if justice is actually served. A felony conviction doesn’t even prevent this POS from practicing law if the Bar Association won’t disbar her.

  9. All- Agree this is only half the battle…What happens next? I have no clue. Like I said, it IS Wisconsin…
