Little vs. Hecox oral arguments were heard yesterday by SCOTUS.
Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito grilled an attorney representing a biological male athlete in the case of Little v. Hecox on Tuesday about the definitions of a woman and girl.
Alito asked Kathleen R. Hartnett, who is arguing on behalf of the Idaho student in the Supreme Court case, what it meant to be a “boy or a girl or a man or a woman” when it came to equal protection purposes. Hartnett agreed that a school may have separate teams for students “classified as boys and a category of students classified as girls.” Hartnett also agreed there needed to be “an understanding of what it means to be a boy or a girl and a man or a woman.”

Soooo, once again there is a refusal to actually ‘state’ what the definition of a male or female is…
Sigh… Apparently these lawyers (and at least one member of SCOTUS) cannot or will not state what is and has been known for over a hundred years (Nettie Stevens’ work in 1905 discovering X and Y chromosomes), men are XY, while women are XX. Therefore there is a BIOLOGIC definition of males and females.
This isn’t and hasn’t been rocket surgery for a long time. But now, with Title IX, apparently nobody knowns nuffin’…

These are people who believe in the Magic of Words. If they believe the Words, then everything else has to match and they will attempt to alter reality as much as possible to match the Words. Also, you are not allowed to “deny” their Words, as that is “denying” their reality, and that’s a “hate crime”.
Most of us grew out of the Magic of Words as we left childhood, but not these people.
One of the by-products of this kind of deranged talking/thinking is deliberate confusion. Consider: What does the word “woman” mean? Well, it means only whatever the SCOTUS types say it means and the “wise-types,” the lawyers, judges and professors are the only ones who can tell us what it means. It’s pure madness that confounds the simplest observation and thought.

I don’t know what revision is the most current , but post military I went back to college and took a course that had me digging into the DSM4 for a paper I was assigned write . This was not that terribly long ago , and Gender Identity Disorder was listed as a mental disorder . I also more recently asked a close acquaintance who was an RN in the E.R. how do they document a patient who says they are a female who is physically a male , I can’t remember exactly what the RN said exactly , but I do remember the nurse would ask when their last period was , and if certain symptoms presented , a pregnancy test was ordered , all the nurses pretty much rolled their eyes but went ahead and waited on test results . Among the crazy things ER nurses deal with , this charade wouldn’t make the top 10 .
Stuff is so crazy currently , some day someone somewhere is going to be legally granted the recognition under the color of law to marry a 66 SS396 Chevelle (not a bad choice) , or worse . Bizarro world!
I find it telling that no “trans-men” i.e. females who identify as males, are trying to compete on men’s athletic teams
Please note, I have no problems with adults living their preferred lifestyles as long as their relationships are consensual and other people don’t get negatively impacted. Clearly due to the differences between people born with XY chromosomes and people born with XX chromosomes a person born male will have physical and possibly psychological advantages over a person born female. These differences mean some women will be denied championships, scholarships and possibly assignments to a professional team if “trans-women” are allowed to participate in women’s sport on an equal basis.
I think that, as a society, our “live and let live” philosophy has led us to this.

Hecox tried very hard to get this thing pulled before it got to SCOTUS and failed. My understanding is the one judge who has stated she’s not a biologist, also created a new word yesterday ‘cisginger’. Which I guess means people with naturally red hair.
Those whose wealth, power, and influence depend on not understanding something will fail to understand it as long as possible, or perhaps longer.
I understand that biology is clear on male and female with XX and XY chromosomes. It should be clear to the Supreme Court to rule that there is separation of male and female, and anyone thinking they are “trans” has a mental issue. As such I believe this would end this trans crap that the Dems and Big Pharma/Big Med are pushing.

The fatigue… across all manner of subjects, is very very real. I simply DGAF about any of this crap anymore. They can all go Fuck themselves, and the high horse they rode in on.
There are a few variances to the XX/XY pattern, notably Klinefelter’s Syndrome (XXY), Turner’s Syndrome (X0), Jacob’s Syndrome (XYY), and Trisomy X (XXX); there are others. However none of these genetic abnormalities presents difficulty in assigning gender, although other difficulties present. The individuals are all clearly male or female.
There is another category, in which the gender is difficult to determine, because the genitalia are abnormal. Even rarer are cases in which both ovarian and testicular tissue is present at birth.
Added together, all the variances are a very small percentage of births.
NONE of the examples above appear to be involved, at all, in the petitions of biological males to be allowed to complete in women’s athletics, and they shouldn’t be allowed to confuse the issue.
I agree: XX, or XY: that determines what league you play in.
The fact that “what is a male or a female” and “should male be allowed to compete with and against females” is even being subjected to litigation is a symptom of how far gone our society..and legal system…has devolved. This is about as clear cut an issue as can power exist. Yet it’s still being “debated”.
The easier way to keep males (no matter how they dress or what they ‘Claim”) is for parents to address the issue with the male student’s parents (or caregiver).

Everyone has “rights”; no one has responsibility, especially those most insistent on having their rights.
All this crap is about advantage, and none about fairness. Title IX brings fairness. My high school years, 1957 – 1961, females had two options, the band and being a cheerleader. Now I have several young female relatives who had much of their college education funded by athletic scholarships. For some biological male, regardless of reason, to deprive a female an opportunity is flat wrong.
Why doesn’t Roberts just “fix” this Title IX problem like he did to make 0bamakare legal- by rewriting it.
You know rewrite Title IX into three divisions- Male at birth, Female at birth and a Tranny division for the rest.
