Well, that argument seems to have been going on longer than I thought.
Animism seems to have been a fairly common pattern to prehistoric religion and/or magic.
That type of thinking naturally leads to at least the suspicion that weapons have magical power and perhaps even their own spirits.
It is actually more strange to believe in tools independent enough of magic and spirits to allow for replication of experiments.
A lot of mainstream leftwing ‘academic’ thought is pretty literally equivalent to thinking that they have been witched.
I was simply thinking of the current day liberals that blame the gun instead of the criminal (unless of course they’re blaming a shooting on LE, then it’s the other way round).
Lots of people still apply animism to the inanimate. Just look at what they say about their computers or smart phones.
Precisely.
Old45- Possibly…
Steve- Yeah, just a ‘bit’!
Bob/Steve- Correct!

Trump should heed the FDR quote, he is making a mistake playing nice with Minnesota, even if it is as Bessent suggests to avoid a shutdown. Trust the democrats to push ahead with the riots and the shutdown. No quarter Donald.
Yes they will (push ahead) with vigor and support $ , they have a heart crushing unhealthy level of hate . I never hated anybody for their views , they are crazy eyed haters , either you are in lockstep with their beliefs , or a non person that needs to go away , permanently . We are seeing a color revolution prompted by a “spark” issue . I knew that Lutheran Social services orgs were sponsoring and funding “refugee support” efforts in the past , like the Hmong people . I sometimes read my wife’s state employee monthly union magazine . It is full of inflammatory verbiage (fight, war, …etc) .
Is this shit really altruistic or just a reason to raise hell and upset the apple cart ? I say and think this a lot , world events are moving fast in many directions at great speed and in your face . SMH , Spit , sip a whiskey and fire up a smoke . I’m old …out of fucks to give , my opinion is a fart in a gale force wind .
RHT- Good ones!
Texas Dan- Agreed!
Boats- That doesn’t mean you’re wrong!!!
