Welp, now the Iranian ‘leadership’ knows (or knew, since they’re apparently now dead) the stalling tactic isn’t working to give them time to build more missiles or restart their nuclear program.
Israel and the US hit Teheran and ‘multiple’ military/IRGC sites in a daylight raid Saturday morning their time.
There was a specific split in tasking, with the US assets taking on various military and IRGC sites, including missile sites as the Israelis took out the leadership.
12 hours in, the US had conducted approximately 900 strikes on various targets even as the IRGC launched a series of last ditch missiles and drones at six countries attempting to hit US assets. Those countries are now joining a ‘coalition’ to shut them down, including Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Bahrain, Qatar, and others.
As far as I know, they have had no success with that, but I did see one video taken from the road next to the 5th Fleet compound in Bahrain as a missile exploded just a block or two behind the compound. Sadly, some missiles did get through to other countries, including Israel with at least one missile hitting Tel Aviv.
Apparently the ‘headcount’ of dead leaders is now up to 40, including Khomeini, with some ‘interesting’ videos coming out. Contrary to what the Dems/left/libs are saying, the Gang of 8 WAS notified and seven of the eight were briefed just before the strike by SecState Rubio.
Now the congresscritters want a war powers vote and ‘off ramps’… The hypocrisy is simply stunning!!! Sigh…
It is a WAR folks, there are no ‘off ramps’, just winning or losing! And now the grind to ‘find’ all the little IRGC camps/locations that were hidden in the country and the Basij units that are trying to meld back into society.
Iranians world-wide are dancing in the streets, and the question is, will the populace rise up now? Will Palavi step up and take over, shifting Iran back toward a friendly country?

I’m sure it’s an impossible dream, but it would be optimum for Iranians to have a path to self-determination and for us to not install the Pahlavi regime 2.0 – he hasn’t been in Iran for 50 years. Imagine dropping Carter or even Reagan on today’s America?

I would say it was a punitive mission and hopefully the Iranians can form a government that is not hostile to the US and its neighbors.

A few planeloads of small arms, ammo, grenades and other useful items into known areas of resistance could go far to permanently remove the mullahs (and IRGC) from power.
Post war, rebuilding neglected infrastructure including a deal plant or two would go a long way to brining Iran back into the fold of civilized nations.
Even in the shadow of imminent danger, the people of Israel remain unshaken.
Saying, Enough, is Enough the United States and Israel have attacked Iran with preemptive strikes, this time it was decided that they would not need a second time.
Reports have indicated that multiple explosions, with some sources citing three or more, have occurred in the central Tehran area, accompanied by the observation of dense black smoke emanating over the capital.
This information has been corroborated by eyewitness accounts and Iranian state media, as reported by the Associated Press and Reuters.
I hope this is a start of the path towards Democracy and Freedom for the people of Iran. My prayers go out to all American, and Israeli Troops and their families and that they do not get harmed and are protected by God.

I’m glad we’re finally fixing what Carter and the French screwed up. And, yes, it was Carter and the French who decided to oust the Shah and install the very stable and sane Khomeini (mainly because the French didn’t want Khomeini in France anymore.)
Let’s hope the hardliners either die quickly or run for the borders and sanity takes over.

My wife and I met three generations of the women in a Persian-Iranian family during a cruise in Europe many years ago. We dined with their entire family on board, and went on several shore excursions with them.
Their family had fled Iran when the Shah was deposed.
All of them, including the 75 years old grandmother, dressed in the style of the Western world and were stunningly beautiful.
If this turmoil only achieves removal of the Islamic dress code for Iranian women, the world will be a better place.
One must wonder how many of those briefed on the pending actions immediately made attempts to notify Iran via whatever methods they had access to. If I was in charge I would have made arrangements to monitor their actions immediately after being informed…and arrested those who willfully leaked that into. I have ZERO doubt that at least some of them made the attempt.
