Don’t understand the mentality that can do this…
The FBI arrested Courtney Williams, 40, of Wagram, North Carolina yesterday and a federal grand jury indicted her today in connection with her alleged transmission of classified national defense information to individuals not authorized to receive it, including a journalist (the Journalist). Williams allegedly violated 18 U.S.C. § 793(d).
“Clearance holders accept a solemn obligation to protect the classified information entrusted to them,” said Assistant Attorney General for National Security John A. Eisenberg. “That they do so is critical to the security of our Nation. When clearance holders violate that trust, the National Security Division will act swiftly to hold them accountable.”
“We trust our war fighting individuals to cooperate as a team to protect our military and country,” said U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of North Carolina Ellis Boyle. “We will pursue criminal charges to keep these warriors safe whenever we find leakers exalting their own feelings over the safety of the United States.”

I guess the real irony is the ‘journalist’ is the one that outed her in the article, by name…
She had TS/SCI clearance, and had signed Nondisclosure Agreements (NDAs), which include wording that distribution of ANY of those documents or other things are prosecutable…
So why did she do this for four years??? Was it money? Pissed off at the Army???

I cannot fathom anyone doing this, much less to the actual people she worked with every day. I only hope she is convicted and sent to jail for MANY years.
Why? Because now she’s a hero among her leftarded friends.

I just want to know how she got the clearance. I had TS/EBI and sweat blood to get it, and was under the scrutiny of the Personal Reliability Program as long as I held it!
I the Journalist also under indictment for publishing what he/she KNEW was classified info?

She knew she was making a mistake, did so anyway, and now is facing decades in prison. Stupid is the best description. She’s lucky things are much kinder than they were in the past. She’ll escape the gallows, but a less gently society wouldn’t hesitate to string her up.
Decades in prison? Not hardly, she will be pardoned the first day a Demorat is in the Oval Office.
Some judge will intervene and issue a restraining order.

I haven’t read the book, but have read a couple of reviews. It’s “The Fort Bragg Cartel: Drug Trafficking and Murder in the Special Forces” by Seth Harp, and it was published last August. Courtney Williams is specifically named throughout the book, according to the author. So, why is she just being arrested NOW?
This stuff came out six months ago. I don’t understand that at all.
I am of the opinion that she should be stood in front of a firing squad and the entire procedure made public. To make the point that this kind of behavior is a no-no. or to borrow the French phrase “pour encourager les autres”.

She will do one, perhaps two years in prison and spend the rest of her life being feted by commie leftists. We need to bring back public hangings. This is the kind of offence that must see the perpetrator permanently removed from society.

The correct action is for the jury to declare Not Guilty. Then to state they will not punish little people for crimes the elite (looking at you, Hillary) are let off scott free when they commit them.
In a just world, both Hillary and this little pustule would both be facing firing squads.
