By their own actions, they became political pawns a couple of years ago. And now that they have been backed into a corner, I don’t think they have any idea what to do, now that their BS has been called!

Don’t kid yourselves. WNBA is enjoying all the attention. Nay, they’re encouraging all the attention. More than they’ve had in their existence.
The Washington Post dropped a bombshell this week. President Trump, we’re told, blew up at Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth at Camp David over munitions shortages that Hegseth supposedly hid from him. Two anonymous sources. That’s it. That’s the whole foundation.
The White House says it’s PURE fake. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt called it “100% FAKE news” and said it “literally never EVER happened.” And the Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell went even a lot further, saying the Post was“ written by their Anonymous, No-name Sources” and that every part of the story is FALLSE, * FAKE. Trump himself posted that the reporting might even be “Treasonous.”
So who’s lying? Maybe nobody. And Not even a little bit true.
I’m not saying anonymous sourcing should never exist. But I am saying that this story is False!
Here’s what bugs me about the Hegseth story specifically. But the specific claim that President Trump exploded at Hegseth in a private exchange, and that Hegseth threw his deputy under the bus, rests entirely on two people who won’t put their names on it and a flat denial from three separate government officials who remain to be nonymous sourcing that specificly is NOT TRUE, and it’s not even close to the truth. It Never Happened, Period!
Fake news should carry consequences, and reporters who build stories on anonymous claims without any corroboration should own that risk publicly, not hide behind institutional credibility. Until both of those things happen, expect more stories like this one. Half the country will believe it. And the other Half won’t. And the actual truth, the thing that matters most when American troops are the ones who suffer the consequences .
When leaking stops being about exposing wrongdoing and starts deliberately damaging national security, or protecting enemies, or revealing classified information that puts lives and operations at risk, the stakes change dramatically. And that’s very dangerous.
Maybe the WNBA needs to start drafting goons like the old NHL/NBA

Hilary Clinton is pretty much the king feminist. Feminism is about Hilary’s political ambitions, and her ‘accomplishments’ symbolizing the success of all women. One of the more toxic women has coopted the cause of ‘all women’, and her enforcers are nasty women who exploit female psychology vulnerabilities. There’s basically a queen bee response, where women match to the signal of a scary (toxic) or impressive (positive or functional) woman and very carefully do not contradict the higher woman on the totem pole. It is actually significantly healthier where women are willing to dissent from a woman they see as statusy. (As far as I can tell. I am a non-woman hermit who is bad at this sort of observation.)
In an environment where women have enough tools to destroy people, that sort of circumspection can show up in men. Men are less effective at it, but we can sometimes tell when folks are willing to destroy us.
