A planned immigration reform rally will take place on the National Mall on Tuesday even though the site is closed due to the government shutdown.
Organizers for the “Camino Americano: March for Immigration Reform” were spotted Monday setting up a stage and equipment on the National Mall for the rally which will take place on Tuesday.

So lemme get this straight, they are told to keep veterans away from the WWII and Vietnam and Korea Memorials, but immigration reform rally is okay???

Nearly a third of Blount County is inside the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. So when the federal government shut down the park, it also shut down one of the area’s chief sources of revenue.
The National Park Service also closed the Foothills Parkway, a major thoroughfare in the county. The closure came without warning and left the local school district scrambling to get children back to their homes.

So the march might have some legs. Remember that WW2 veterans don’t vote for Obama, but the illegal aliens do…even they’re illegal, because we don’t have any sort of voter ID requirement.
Sure, why not. In California, I understand they are going to begin to allow illegal aliens the right to serve in juries. ILLEGAL aliens to serve legal functions – well isn’t that special? Will the request up front “Do you understand English?” become a thing of the past as well ? Will we need to supply interpreters for the jury or will the lawyers themselves have to supply their own ? Just sad.
I have nothing against LEGAL immigration, the countries they flee have some really good reasons to leave. My complaint is the way it is done. And I guess the aliens who are spending a lot of money and time to become a legal U.S. citizen feel pretty stupid now (obey the law and see what it gets you).
And now the criminals in washington are saying that unless the debt ceiling is raised, that Social Security payments are in jeopardy.
Fascinating! The felons that looted the “lockbox” that was the Social Security trust fund are now saying that they are unable to pay back all the IOUs that they issued.

California deserves what’s coming, IMHO. I wonder, though, how long before Nevada digs a moat on their western border.
I’m friends with a retired C-130H driver. He wasn’t too keen on the C-130J model with the 6 blade props, and I can’t remember the specifics. He felt the “J” should’ve been an 8 blade prop from the gitgo.
Hmmm, doesn’t our tax dollars support the M&O of the National Parks? Are we not still paying our taxes to the federales? Don’t “We the People”, with our tax dollars OWN our National Parks? Or am I confused? ?

I think the J sounds like a King Air on steroids. We have both at Dobbins ARB (Atlanta – USAF Reserve sqn and Lockheed plant) and hearing both in the pattern is interesting. I’d much rather fly a J though.
