Shutdown Day 14… Urban Legends???

Progress?  Same as the previous days… Zip, zilch…

And it appears the administration has remained ‘strangely’ quiet on the vets march and VA and Vet issues.  It appears their sole reaction was to deploy police in riot gear…

And it appears there are little or no ‘actual’ numbers of enrollees either at the national level or state levels… And even the numbers of visitors appear to be ‘questionable’ at best… Story HERE.

And in answer to the email about where we were shooting from, it’s here…

Looking from the parking area at the long range bench and the 750 yard berm in the distance on the horizon.  If it hadn’t been for the wind…

sigh…

Shutdown Day 14… Urban Legends??? — 7 Comments

  1. Be grateful to have a place to shoot (that looks really great, btw). A lot of people only have a commercial gun range with HANDGUNS ONLY – NO RIFLE restrictions.

The wind. Hey, its a great teacher, don’t downplay it. The wind teaches you a bullet is effected by it and the shooter has to compensate for its effects. A bit frustrating, yes, but firing a .22 at 200 yards plus is great instruction and when you hit your target EXACTLY where you want ON PURPOSE, you have to stifle a Tarzan yell. :^)

Yeah, the political shenanigans just keep on keeping on. It would be funny if it weren’t so sad.

    • And I forgot to add – let the Administration tick off the military all they want. I think they forget those Veterans often have children in the current U.S. military service and who are watching how past military service is ‘honored’ by current administration. If it comes to being ordered into action, probably give some pause to wonder who’s side they are really on.

40 mph gusts – that is rather discouraging, the weather ‘chain’ was blowing sideways . . .

  2. It was a mild breeze the first range day , 15mph gusting to 40 or so , on sunday it got a bit blustery .

  3. Apparently it’s not politically correct to shoot down 80-90 year old WW2 veterans who want to visit their open air memorial. Who would have thought that the Obama Administration had limits?

  4. And now the AP is reporting that the ObummerKare website glitches were done deliberately, to deflect attention from the high prices.

    Heads should roll.

  5. j.r.- True, and just HITTING the target at range in gusty winds sometimes elicits that Tarzan yell… just sayin… And the clown show just continues in DC, to what end??? They are pissing off the WRONG crowd, cause us old farts DO vote, and DO talk to our kids…

FD- LOL, yep love it or hate it… It was STILL fun!

LL- Yeah, I was a ‘bit’ surprised there was not a more virulent response…

    Rev- No surprise…

    LL- Yep!
