Shutdown Day 15…

B. Boxer compares Pubs to wife beaters and abusers…

And ‘I’ always thought equal treatment under the law was one of the foundations of America, but I guess that doesn’t apply to obummercare… Seems that everybody but us ‘little people’ get exclusions/additional funding…

Still no ‘deals’, but much being made about how the Pubs are “falling apart”…

Bottom line- Zip, zilch, nada

The ONLY positive, BO presented the MOH to Capt William Swenson for his actions in Afghanistan.  Kudos to Duncan Hunter (R-CA) for getting this award back in the system…

Story HERE.

While I admire Capt Swenson’s desire to return to active duty, that would NOT end well.  He’s been heavily critical of superiors for their lack of air support (well deserved), but he will never be able to be ‘just another officer’ again…

Personally, I also think this is a VERY calculated move by the administration to ‘show the love’ for the military and overcome the negative press from the last couple of weeks.

  1. While presenting the MOH Obama is trying to impress the sheeple.
While veterans and the Conservative world knows he despises the military.

  2. +1 to what Rick said, above. It’s still a dog-and-pony show, which the tame lapdogs in the media duly trot before the sheeple.

  3. Jim
You are exactly right. This award was well deserved, but the impostor in chief only awarded it as a “feel good” gesture to make the sheeple feel better about him emasculating the military. You are also right about the good Captain’s future in the military. Even if he hadn’t been critical of his superiors, the award would “set him apart” from all others forever. Deservedly so. He would never be allowed a “normal” career.

  4. +1 Rick

“but he will never be able to be ‘just another officer’ again…”

Warriors don’t go along to get along. Scares the place sitters.

  5. There isn’t enough whiskey in Texas, nor medals in the system to make me feel good about the rodeo clown.

  6. If the Commander in Chief, had presented the award and sung the praises of the honoree and then allowed the ceremony to end without mentioning how screwed up the rest of the government was – it would have been great, but the whole seemed designed to get him on television once again holding the nation safe and secure, if those TEA party people would just die.

  7. Rick/Rev/WSF- Point! Dog and pony feel good…

    Craig- Thanks!

    JUGM- Yep!

    LL- Concur!

Earl- Yep, I’m glad I’m not the only one that picked up on that.
