I have nothing but respect for those young men.
A picture of what is still right about our country.
Our men & women in uniform, and especially those guards, know a sense of honor and duty that our elected officials can’t even dream about.
You have to respect that… Such a patriotic sight. I saw one like that during “Sandy”. Just really feel for those guys. When ever one else is freaking out, they aren’t.
And I have no doubt that if someone spoke to that young infantryman privately about that photo his response would be a mix of pride and humility at having the chance to stand that post.

Amazing young men. But wonder about his footing. Was his patch swept clean? Did he have to walk on ice? There is more to his service than snow on his cover. I would love to buy each of them a beer during down time.
I dunno, looked like a snow day to me.
All- Thanks. According to my ‘contact’ the off duty guards were keeping the walkway safe for the guards on duty…
