That little sucker didn’t move and I just stood there for probably a minute, until he finally ‘looked’ at me, chittered, and hauled ass up the tree…LOL
I love squirrels. I could watch them play for hours. Does that make me bat sh*t crazy?
Yes…and from another perspective, if the squirrels come running to you, they may think that you’re a nut…. ;^)
Then again, if you are a friend of Old NFO, you are clearly a nut, and in very good company.
Wait…don’t answer that.
“Wait, don’t answer that””
Too late 🙂
Differ- That they are!!!
Ed- LOL, as long as they aren’t infesting your attic!!!
Fargo/LL- Heh, no worse than the rest of us…
Fargo- ROTF!
Morris… Yeah, NOT going there… (Why am I in this pretty white coat? Where are we going?)
Our cats do it all the time! As well as the ‘if I hide my head, you can’t see me’ trick!
Hysterical!
gfa
Speaking of which, did they find squirrel droppings near your recent computer issue at work?
On a slightly different topic, it’s nice to see a fat squirrel. Ours are small & scrawny, when one can be found. The raptors use them for snacks. 🙂
Those are the sights that make a farm kid shackled to a cubicle farm headquarters building wish for his .17 HMR and a suppressor during point less Friday morning staff meetings.
Tree rats is what they are!!! 🙂
Ground squirrels In the back of beyond make good targets… those little heads pop up!!! and boom…
Not my favorite animal.
They make a real good stew
gfa- Yeah… so do dogs!
Ed- Nope ‘bigger’ droppings… sigh… I think from the IT squirrels…
Rev- Yep, not many ‘trees’ in AK for them to hide in.
SPE- Oh yeah!!!
icb- Oh no question…
Dammit- Yeah, good snap shooting targets! :-0
WSF- Mine either, honestly. Although as Rick says the DO make a pretty good stew!
I tried to feed a squirrel on Boston Common in 1995.
The little tree-rat refused trail-mix, sultanas, almonds, and peanuts – but Maltesers were just fine.
I’ve been cursed at numerous times by the fat gray squirrels in the Sierra Nevadas. Man, they have some great, fluffy tails.
They are weird little buggers aren’t they?
Cute little lawn rodent.
