  3. What seems like a hundred years ago, 20 year old Sergeant SPEMack was under intense mortar/RPK fire and generally holding a precarious position. Two UH-1Y Super Huey Venom’s rained rocket and machine gun fire on anything that wasn’t flashing a strobe light until it got too dark. I remember seeing a door gunner, strapped in, and leaning completely out the airframe with a Para-SAW firing behind the helicopter after each run. I always appreciated that gesture.
