Almost there…

I can see the floors in a couple of rooms! Yea!!!

And look what I found (finally)…

The left shoe showed up, notice the label on the box… Sigh…

It’s the left, they are always wandering off down different paths. Or was that different drums…

Well, the weather is ‘interesting’, varying between snow/sleet this morning, to rain, to 50 mph winds. Now calling for somewhere between 1-10 inches of snow tonight (depending on which weatherguesser you listen to). I’ll update this in the morning after I have some coffee…

  1. Yea floors!!
I’ll take your 10 inches of snow instead of 1/2 inch ice with gusty 30+ mph winds. 🙁
Thank goodness I’m off work today…
    Suz

  2. The whole West and Mid-West is having one hell of a start to winter, yet we are having rain and 70 degree weather here in the South. Throw another log on the fire and rest up till Spring.

  3. North Atlanta suburbs are soggy after a week of rain, but Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and yesterday were 70+ degrees and sunny off and on. I expect snow will come in Jan…

  4. The dogs whined me awake at 0700. Let ’em out to find a very light dusting of snow on the lawn. Temp 32, zero wind, no flooding here. Counting our blessings. Holly said she’d rather postpone shooting her new pistol, so we’ll probably stay holed up.

  5. Sorry you found the shoe. That screws up the whole SciFi book meme. ;^)

    Glad things are coming together.

  6. Eek. Hope you are safe from those nasty storms. Yeck. Glad you are getting settled in.

  7. Suz- We ended up with an inch, and it’s now dead calm. No wind… 🙂

    Mrs.C- LOL, yes you did… And nope, no shovel. I’m in denial, I won’t NEED one… 😉

CP- I wish, I have house guests coming in 5 days… Gotta have a clean, setup house by then!

Differ- Most probably… THAT will be the day to stay home, take a sick day, or whatever… You DON’T want to drive in that mess.

Johnny- Basically same here, minus the dog! 🙂 Thankfully…

    LL- Thanks!

Fargo- They missed us. A ‘function’ of the weather pattern. Sometimes a cold front IS a good thing… And I’m getting there… sigh

  8. Hey Old NFO;

I can see you incorporating that issues into the “Gray Man”. Everything happens for inspirational reasons…….I am the glass half full kind of guy;)

  9. Hi Jim, what big or good sized city do you live near? Just asking so I know when to be worrying about you!
Temp out here finally hit the below freezing mark. ‘Bout damned time, I like the cold weather—sometimes.
    Stay warm and well.

  10. I would also happily take your 10″ of snow versus the williwaws we’re experiencing today & tomorrow. Too warm here, and we pray in agreement with all y’all in the Lower 48 that the weather pattern will straighten out, forthwith.

  11. Northbound I-25 Wyoming 0530 between MM 57 to MM 73 0 degrees, wind 35 mph + blowing snow with visibility 1/8 mile. Shudder to think what the wind chill was. The rest of the day was a piece of cake. Last Saturday the other route driver was told by Dispatch to stay home. Think that is the storm hitting you now.

  12. I agree with the weather, getting really sick of the rain here. I should be building an ARK instead of a house. Just doesnt feel like winter, I alsmost think I magically moved back to Florida.

  13. You are in Texas? Shoot, sounds like SW Michigan – sleet (just cleared 4″ worth of the stuff from the driveway), now freezing rain, with 46 Mph winds gusts today, just beginning to warm up to 33. If anyone finds some global warming, send it to TX and MI please.

  14. A little puzzled by the L and R on the shoes, kinda thought it should be P and S. (and of course the P should be red, and the S green)

We are visiting friends near Pittsburgh. I was putting in the new bathroom fan that we ordered a few months ago. And did you know that some vent vans are right or left handed. Yep, 30 minute job took the bulk of the afternoon and the drywall repair will be done later. (sigh)

Still strangely warm with way too much rain.

  15. Bob- LOL, maybe…

    Ev- Wichita Falls, TX

Rev- Don’t envy you those… Nope… This is what you get with El Nino…

WSF- It kinda ‘glanced’ off us before hitting the central US. And that wind chill would be about -27.

Senior- Just wait until we get off the El Nino year…

    Ed- Agreed!!!

John- Ha, ha… 🙂 I’m facing the vent issues here too (having to install), NOT looking forward to it!
