Now ‘this’ is interesting…

In recent years the left’s legal agenda has become ever more unconstitutional, even anti-constitutional. Welfare is a right, the unborn are subject to destruction, marriage can be radically redefined by unelected judges, equal protection requires racial quotas, religious liberty only protects private belief, health care penalties to coerce behavior are taxes, gun ownership is for government, and the president can rewrite laws passed by Congress.

Every Democratic [judicial] nominee is expected to embrace this agenda. Over the years many Republican judicial appointees have charted an independent, even liberal course, from Earl Warren to David Souter. It is hard to think of a single Democratic justice who has broken with left-wing orthodoxy…

President Obama treats jurisprudence as another weapon of political war. No doubt he will do the same with his appointment to replace Scalia.

The Senate has an obligation to stand for the Constitution and rule of law… Moreover, if the nation’s fundamental law isn’t rooted in something permanent, then there is no certain protection of any liberty. If justices can act like a continuing constitutional convention in which five men and women can transform settled law on whim, we have passed from the rule of law to the rule of men. Sitting on the high court does not place one above the Constitution…

Members of the U.S. Senate are obligated to defend the Constitution. That requires them to reject any attempt by the president to install another radical judicial activist for a lifetime on the bench.

Ken Blackwell penned THIS article at the Daily Caller, which I find extremely interesting, considering his background and current position as a Senior Fellow at the American Civil Rights Union…

When you add in what Obama, Schumer and Biden among others did to Bush, why SHOULD the Senate even bother to address Obama’s nominee?

It’s not like he’s not going to try to shove another Democrat political hack into the position!!!

Sigh… Is it 2017 YET???

In other news-

Customs and Border Protection Commissioner R. Gil Kerlikowske, who oversees the U.S. Border Patrol said Tuesday that if agents have a problem with President Obama’s deportation amnesty, they should quit.

This is as a response to ongoing hearings being held in Congress on the whole Immigration/deportation issue going back to Obama’s pencil whipping of the law in 2014 to prevent deportation of illegals coming across the border.

Full article HERE at the Washington Times.

This one is going to end up at SCOTUS… So Obama ‘obviously’ has an agenda in getting one of his cronies onboard to take the majority to his side.

  1. I remember Kerlikowskie from when he was police chief in Seattle some years back, he had little confidence from the “rank and file” back then, for his views and his willingness to “follow directions”, appears he hasn’t changed much.

  2. Yep. It’s a mess. No matter who becomes the next POTUS…there are so many crumbs to clean up, they might not make it to the cake.

  3. A fraternity brother of mine is 100% behind Sanders. In talking to him over beers the other day I realized every point he listed was the same reason people are following Trump.

  4. Grog- I didn’t know that… But I guess he toed the party line… sigh

    Fargo- Good point!

SPE- SO at least you will offset HIS vote! 😀

  5. I do appreciate Trump for the way he has neutered the Main Stream Maggots (as BZ calls them) by not giving a s&*t what they have to say.

  6. As Grog said Kerlikowske was Chief in Seattle. Extremely anti-gun. The people cannot be trusted to take care of such dangerous instruments. As I remember he had a meeting or went shopping or some such and left his service pistol in the glove box of his car. Of course, someone broke in and stole the gun….. It took him a few weeks to get that to die down.

  7. Oh, Kerlikowske still hasn’t quite lived down losing his SPD-issued G26.
And IIRC he was shopping with his wife. Some question as to whether the car was even locked at the time.

  8. My local precinct had 19% turnout at 1300hrs.
That’s almost double “normal” full day primary numbers of the past.
Conversation lead me to comment “That’s why I keep a coil of rope in the truck.” Rather than hush me the poll workers (ALL 8 of them) laughed.
If this election doesn’t produce positive results I fear the tumbrels will roll.
