YGTBSM!!

By the way, I voted… Have you? WILL you?

voted-today

Wow… Just… Wow…

‘It’s not about emails; it’s about public communication by a woman’

I am mad. I am mad because I am scared. And if you are a woman, you should be, too. Emailgate is a bitch hunt, but the target is not Hillary Clinton. It’s us.

You can read the entire unbelievable article HERE, at time.com

I’ll be interested to hear your comments, especially after you do a quick search on the author of the article…

There were 18 folks in line in our little town when I voted. The little old lady in front of me presented her LTC rather than her license, and it didn’t even turn a hair on the poll taker’s head… πŸ™‚

Gotta love small town Texas.

The other interesting note is the lack of signs. I’ve probably seen a total of 10 signs if I count the local races… Only ONE Hillary sign in town, seven Trump signs. The other two were a local race. I find this quite refreshing compared to the last election I went through in NOVA… There were literally HUNDREDS of signs on the 4 mile route I took to work.

Of course this dearth of signs means I’m gonna actually have to BUY target backers next year… sigh…

  1. Wow, Ms. Lakoff if judged by that article is one special snowflake. She should as General Patreous if he was given special treatment of his emails because of his gender identity.

Yep, I voted last week. I wanted to be sure to cast it in case I died before November 8, lol. Besides the national elections, there was one local measure I really wanted my vote to count. Today is last day of early voting in Texas, so if you want to beat the rush, here’s your chance.

BTW – our county elections office told the media that provisional votes (paper ballots) risked the possibility of not being counted. Did any one else get that same news from their office(s) ? Many people wanted paper ballots because they were afraid the electronic units were rigged.

Lots of political signs out there, the south American jungles can be heard weeping. :^)

Have a great weekend – deer season opening is tomorrow !

  2. Nothing quite like some phoney baloney Credentials (And a six figure income sinecure.) to turn a brain into bread pudding.

  3. Her base premise is totally off. She indicaated that Hillary was being held to an ‘unfair’ standard. We the people would just like for her to be held to the same standard that we are and be as accountable under the rule of law. People that did far less are in jail. She has spent years developing a network in DC,including the FBI and DOJ that has allowed her to co-opt the system. People die when they cross her.

Off the soapbox and back to the article’s writer: I don’t think a PhD in Linguistics makes someone an expert on legal issues either.

  4. The fact that she is at UC Berkley said all I needed to know about her. Communist at best. The investigation has nothing to do with her being a woman. It has to do with her being a criminal.

  5. WTS, you got to be kidding me. Let’s forget about all the men in leadership capacity that have been crucified over the years for much less than HRC is guilty of much less just accused of. What a flake. This person has never held a real job in the real world. Her world has been the university. She has been in her comfortable tenured (I can’t lose my job for any reason) world since 1972. She is being wildly praised for that article and it isn’t even well written much less containing anything of substance. But that is the world we now live in. Nothing of real substance is coming out of the university now days unless one comes out of the sciences and some of that is questionable.

Yep, I voted day 1. I voted entirely as a vote against HRC and a vote to counter someone who will vote for her. I just hope there are enough counter votes.

  6. Sorry Old NFO but from the comments already made, I’m not going to pollute my small town America mind with Berk BS.

Dad and I voted by mail-in ballot for Trump. What signs there are here are Trump. I do occasionally see a Bernie sticker, but they are on PDX Subarus (Berk North).

  7. j.r.- Did NOT hear anything up here about paper not being counted! Grr…

w.- And the sad part is she is ‘teaching’ our children!!!

MC- There you go, being logical again… Obviously, SHE has pushed any logical thoughts out with all the crap she’s holding in that brain of hers!

    CP- Agreed!

    Houston- Excellent points!

    Brig- Thanks! πŸ™‚

  8. I couldn’t finish it. IT just proves to me that I think the left is insane

  9. Lakoff seems to have made a career of painting herself and other women as victims and then demanding power as compensation. If she really doesn’t understand the e-mail/lying issue, then she’s not smart enough to have a published opinion. If she does understand it (and I suspect that she does), then she’s lying about it to downplay it.

  10. Set your sights on a certain goal.
Then do WHATEVER is necessary to achieve that goal.
    Lie? Cheat? Steal?… Murder?
These people can only look at themselves in the mirror because they think that reflection comes from someone considerably smarter than the rest of us pawns.
At some point, there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

  11. The author is from UC Bezerkeley and the article is in Time(warp) ragazine. Nothing to see here, move along.

But that’s how feminists and metrasexuals and lumbersexuals think. The aforementioned think that way in order to avoid getting laid, the latter think that way in the hopes of getting laid. I’ve always maintained that traditional values scare feminists more than a male erection and the kind of sexist diatribe vomited in the Time(warp) propaganda piece is but one more nugget of anecdotal evidence of that fact.

  12. I couldn’t finish the article, either. It’s neither well-written nor original, and the premise is so trite as to be entirely forgettable. HRC has been skirting the edge of the legal system for nearly 40 years, and only now that pretty much the entire FBI is angry about it does she face any real possibility of legal charges.

    Boo hoo.

  13. I’m in central Florida, west of Orlando. I’ve only seen about maybe five small Hillary signs and one of those was near the local country Democrat office!

  14. What level of proof would she require to change her mind? What transgression would get her attention?

The downside of the wikileaks “drip-drip-drip” is that true believers can filter out the information, can squash the cognitive dissonance. The ability to ignore information is not a very advanced cognitive task…teenagers do it all the time. The author needs to draw a line in the sand and articulate it to impress me.

  15. Randy/WSF- Understood… Don’t blame you

    Murph- Agreed on both!

    GB- Concur!

JD- Didn’t think about it from ‘that’ aspect. You’re probably correct

    Rev- Exactly!

Ratus- The local democrat office here is up for lease…LOL

ERJ- I don’t think ANYTHING will change her mind. What scared me is that she is ‘educating’ our children…

  16. Hi Jim, Well I could just barely finish the article, and didn’t bother to look her up as I could tell from the git-go she is s femi-nazi all the way. To make your self feel a little better go read the two articles put out at American Spectator, and Mason-Dixon,Tactical yesterday! I have forwarded them to all my family and just about everybody I have on my address list. Figured you already read them.

On another thing, My wife picked up your first book about two weeks ago and and has barely spoken to me since! Her nose has been buried in all four of them. First thing she did say is,”when is the next one coming out?” It also bestirred us to go get the makings for tamales and have a go at making them! After all, she is a Texas gal.! See Ya bud, hope we survive the coming week! Shrilly will be the death of this country!

  17. I could hear my brain cells screaming as I read that.
That such people exist proves how safe our society is.
Come EMP/Solar Flare/SHTF time she’ll be among the the first to die off ’cause she has no skills. You can’t editorialize yourself out of starvation.

As for elections and election signs: The Smarter Half and I drove to Maine via western PA. We drove through 5 states and were closing in on Augusta, ME before we saw our first Hillary sign. Of course Bar Harbor its island was lousy with Hillary sign. Altoona was awash in Trump signs, stickers, and banners. Less so in Corning, NY but still there. One man in VT was DANCING in a field waving a “Hillary for prison!” sign. We honked and flashed our headlights. He waved and jumped higher.
I fear VA will be handed to Hillary by ex-Clinton staffer and now VA governor McAuliffe. Fairfax Co. had 2,400 provisional ballots in ’12. This year they have over 200,000 on hand. I consider that Prima facie evidence of voter fraud on the part of the Ffx. board of elections. Come election day the LAST jurisdictions to report will be: Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax, Loudoun, Richmond, Norfolk, and Newport News. They’ll need to know the rest of commonwealth’s count so they know how many provisional ballots to dummy up.

Why yes, I AM a cynic. I’ve also zeroed all my rifles and filled all my mags. I’m a practical cynic.

  18. I mailed-in last week. IMHO as a barkin’ socialist she’s not “teaching our children” because if they’re at Berzerkeley they’re already too old to be children anymore – but she is a handmaiden to the special-snowflake brigade, and f*ing insane.
And if she’s teaching linguistics, she’s probably an acolyte of Noam Chomsky.

  19. I’m working nights on election day, so I’ll get home, walk up to the church, where one of the workers, who went to school with my mom, who has known me my whole life, will, in order:
    A. Ask about Mom and family.
    B. Fuss at me for not wearing shoes.
    C. Ask to see some ID. She doesn’t care if I show my D/L, my military ID, or my CCW permit. But she WILL see a government-issued photo ID, or I ain’t voting!!!

Around here, I’ve seen more “Hillary for Prison” than “Hillary for President” signs, and Trump signs seem to outnumber both by about a 10-1 margin.

  20. OK, so I read the article thinking “Oh, Pulleeze”, then I looked up the author, saw Berkley, and thought “OK that explains it”. I agree with everyone else, this babe has never worked in the real world, and hasn’t got a clue, as evidenced by her entire diatribe about the emails.
Bottom line: Ya can’t fix stupid! And, yes, I think it’s scary that this is a professor teaching a class of young folks. I have said it repeatedly how glad I am that my kids are all out of the education system.

As a visiting nurse, and since I work per diem, I have no assigned territory, I go all over western MI, typically averaging 200 miles a day 4 days a week. In the last month I have see less than 2 dozen HRC signs, most in Holland last week, and LOTS of Trump signs. And when we went to SE Ohio the beginning of October, again all the signs were for Trump. Think we only saw 1 Clinton sign on the southern edge of MI. Told my boss today I was available to work on Tuesday, but I’m going to vote first πŸ™‚

    Suz

My other half said the HRC signs in Holland must be from Chicago transplants. Lol.

  21. Ev- Thanks! Hope she enjoys them AND the tamales!!!

    Stretch- You’re probably right… sigh

    NC- Good point!

    RS- Yep, predictable… LOL

    Ratus- Well, it IS! πŸ™‚

Suz- Thanks for reinforcing what we’re seeing down here!

  22. OK, that sort of [garbage] almost makes me want to turn in one of my two X chromosomes and see if I can get a Y just so I don’t have to share anything with that . . . precious pile. Hon, it ain’t because Hillary’s female. It’s because she’s a power-hungry Progressive jerk, to put it mildly.

  23. Was it Time or Newsweek that was sold for $1? If it was not Time it should have been.

  24. TXRed- Understood, and you’re right!!!

    Titan- Don’t remember, I ‘think’ it was Newsweek… Maybe…

  25. Your invitation to read the article reminded me of one of my childhood friends saying “Smell this!”
    No thanks.
And I vote on election Day.

  26. I bought a 12-month subscription to Time – only because I wanted the “FREE gift with every subscription” which was worth more than the (discounted by 70+%) subscription price.

Each and every magazine was used as an educational tool in critical thinking for my children, then burned.

All the “special offer for subscribers” junk mail was returned using the pre-paid envelope.

They PAID me to hold them to ridicule. πŸ™‚
