Lastly, by the time you read this, Hurricane Laura will be ashore in south Texas/Louisiana.
- Laura has rapidly intensified into a Category 4 as it approaches landfall.
- Laura will make landfall Wednesday night into early Thursday near the border between Louisiana and Texas.
- Catastrophic storm surge and damaging winds will affect areas near where Laura makes landfall.
- Storm surge could penetrate as much as 30 miles inland in southwest Louisiana.
- Laura is also an inland flood risk as far north and east as Arkansas and the Ohio and Tennessee valleys.
- Isolated tornadoes are also expected from Laura. (Isolated my ass!)
Say a prayer for those folks on the coast and north of the coast in Texas and Louisiana.

RE: Kenosha, 1st person shot was chasing the 17yo and throwing items at him. The 1st person recently out of prison. Spent 12 years for rape of a minor. 2nd person shot was skate board guy who hit the 17yo over the head and tried to remove the rifle from him. Now this guy was a convicted wife beater. 3rd person shot was approaching him with a glock in his right hand. This guy was a convicted burglar. In the full video of this the 17yo was attempting retreat. From just the video evidence alone, that I have seen, it is all self defense.
This may be crass but I just can’t help but think the 17yo was just doing what his dad told him to do. “Take out the trash, son”

From what little I’ve seen, the 17 year old in question was in a life threatening situation. He was trying to retreat, and was forced to either defend himself or give up his life to a violent mob.
I just wish he’d shot a few more.

It is getting interesting out there, people are getting to the “I tired of the crap” stage and it is showing. And Houston is correct and from what I have gathered, on top of what Houston has said, the 3rd guy pretended to be peaceful, had a medic hat on with hands out and open so the scared kid lowed his rifle then the guy reached for his pistol behind him but the kid was faster. From what I have gathered from Peter’s blog and others, the “Medic” and others are actually combatants who use that role to direct the others. The shooting will be an interesting subject on the next “Jim and Lawdog” discussion hour.
Yep. From what I have seen in video analysis, Mr Arm got shot off tried to fake a surrender and then tried to bring up his glock to get a shot off. Good reaction by the kid. Also we have video evidence of what a 556 round will do, at least at short range to an extremity and a chest shot.
I also just read that the Lawyer who represented Nick Sandman has offered up his services to represent the kid.
Hurricane update: Downgraded to Category 2. Whew!
Kenosha shooting update: The kid drove 20 miles across state lines to put himself in front of those protesters. Were they trash? Apparently. Should he have been there? Probably not. Interesting that the police finally respond when he shoots someone, but not so much during three months of rioting and looting. Apparently we now know what is acceptable behavior in our society.

Visiting during the riot was stupid.
But he was with a group, and the police separated him from the group. They effectively set the attack up.
At this point, the pattern of actions by certain DAs could appear to be participation in a criminal conspiracy.
I don’t know how the law would classify such things. For all I know, the lawyers could have written the rules to shield themselves.
I would note that lawyers do not have infinite power to control the handling of criminals by shaping the legal system. There exist points where things shift over to vigilantism, and no one cares.

Secondcitycop.blogspot.com noted that 6 “luxury motorcoaches” carrying identified Antifa from Chicago unloaded in Kenosha before the riots started.
I think that the three who wrte shot were not from Wisconsin.
It looks like a deliberate escalation of violence focussed on the Election, or on the creation of an insurgency after Trump is re elected.
Prepare now, the ride will be rough.

I just saw a similar observation elsewhere. If people are going to travel to loot, isn’t it just as legitimate to travel to defend. That is a very good point and should be taken into consideration.
