    • Well, yeah. But I didn’t believe anything he said unless I got it in writing. Amazingly, the USN followed the agreement. When I did a week as a “Home Town Recruiter” I didn’t say much…

  1. Haven’t you noticed that the definition of a ‘Recession’ is always changed when we have a democrat in office?
    We had one under Obama.
    We had one under Clinton.
Hell, we had a depression under Carter.

Just like how they redefined inflation rates under Clinton because that recession was so bad.

  2. Trust anything the government says? Not me. Saw on Falsebook something appropriate. “Trust is like a sheet of paper. Once crumpled, it can be smoothed out, but will never be the same”.

  3. McC- Oh hell yes, and I never trusted one again…LOL

    John- Good point!

    WSF- Excellent analogy!

  4. I work for the federal government and I don’t trust anything out of DC, especially from the agency director, who is an admitted terrorist yet got confirmed by the Senate. And unfortunately she isn’t the only one in this so called administration…
I even look at everything my district manager says carefully…

  5. Decades ago, politicians and business filled our eyes and ears via the papers and broadcast news. From that, we came up with the idea that politicians and businesses were untrustworthy, if not outright bughouse nuts. Your man-in-the-street, though? He was trustworthy.

Today, the man-in-the-street has access to eyes and ears via social media. And that’s how we discovered everyone was bughouse nuts.

    Peace be on your household.

  6. Well , if you are talking about the White House Press briefings, I generally take the exact opposite of what is said by either of the ignorant twats, Jen or Karen, or the idiot former admiral, who should have been passed over for Ltjg. Following this self guidance I have been right most of the time.

  8. No reason at all, sir. No reason at all.

But that *was* a rhetorical question, no?

  9. All- Concur with you. And taking the 180 view is probably correct… sigh
