In case you missed it, over the weekend, the U.S. military announced it was ending the search for weather or hobby balloons President Joe Biden ordered to be shot down over Lake Huron and Alaska. The news came in a very late, Friday night news dump as the three-day holiday weekend began.

And one wonders if they are ensuring that nobody can actually come up with debris to say what was really shot down for a half million dollars each.
I guess the balloon club is out of luck…

Why supply evidence of their own stupidity/perfidy when they can avoid doing that?
What this shows me is that we have no defense against any attack from anyone. My first assignment after basic training in 1966 was at Otis AFB in MA where AWACS planes could pick up and identify anything in or near the skys around the northern part of the US. Now they cannot ID weather balloons, spy balloons, or hobby balloons from each other. This shows that we have a bunch of Bozo Clowns in the White House and the Pentagon making stupid decisions and costing the American people a lot of money. When and if China or Russia launch nukes they will most likely not even pick them up.
