PIcking and choosing…

Is a quick way to get this country in DEEP trouble…

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (R-NY) demands that President Joe Biden ignore a Texas judge’s ruling to halt the Food and Drug Administration’s approval of the abortion pill mifepristone.

“I believe that the Biden administration should ignore this ruling,” AOC said on CNN, adding that “deeply partisan” judges have “engaged in unprecedented and dramatic erosion of the legitimacy of the courts,” calling the ruling “unfounded.”

Full article, HERE from Townhall.

Soooo… What happens when ‘we’ start making those same decisions of what to obey and what to ignore?

Then who’s fault is it? Of course, it will be ‘our’ fault… sigh…

Rules for thee, and not for me seems to be the way this administration is treating not only judicial decisions, but damned near everything else!

Grrr…

  1. Just wait until they get a load of my Mulligan.

  2. Please ask AOC if their side can ignore rulings they don’t like, we can ignore rulings we don’t like. Seems fair to me.

    • The answer, since at least the 1960s, maybe earlier, is “It’s okay for the Dems but not for the Repubs.”

It’s okay for activist judges to make rulings based on feelings, but conservative judges to make rulings on actual written law, not so much.

It’s okay for dem presidents to lie, cheat, steal, have their hookers and babes come wandering in and out openly or not to the White House, record everyone without telling them, but not repubs.

  3. Alexandra Occasionally Conscious is merely openly stating what the left believes and has done for decades. “Rules are for thee, never for me”. Any law, rule or regulation they don’t like they simply ignore. They use such things only as cudgels to bash anyone who opposes them into submission. This isn’t new. It’s just that they now openly endorse it… but they’ve doing it for decades.

  4. As Dan said, they have been dong it for years. The feds do it and it goes on down to the local level where prosecutors decide what to take to court and what not to. Judges are handing out ludicrously low sentences for heinous crimes. Witness SF, Chicago, NYC, etc.

  5. Same problem our founders had. Same solution. TINWWVOWOOT. Yeah I know, TRUMP. I voted for him twice. God love him as he carries on the fight. Have they scrapped the voting machines yet?

  6. The Democrats have been pulling this nonsense has been going on for centuries, back to (and probably beyond) when Andrew Jackson (probably apocryphaly) said “John Marshall has made his decision; now let him enforce it!” in reference to the Supreme Court’s decision in Worcester v. Georgia. Bu apocryphal quote or not, Jackson made it clear that the Federal Government would not lift a finger to enforce the ruling if called to do so.

AOC’s just dumb enough to actually admit the party’s MO publicly and on the record. Not that that really matters since they can edit The Record at will. Orwell is spinning in his grave.

  7. What idiot told you that Representative Occasional-Cortex is (R-NY)? She’s (CCP-NY).

  8. Biden’s Admin is not following the law most of the time. It is only doing it when it decides it hurts Conservatives and will give them an advantage.

  9. Not sure what Townhall is playing at by attributing Ocasio-Cortez’s party membership as (R) instead of what it actually is (D), but it really doesn’t look good on them.

  10. William Roper: So, now you give the Devil the benefit of law!

Sir Thomas More: Yes! What would you do? Cut a great road through the law to get after the Devil?

William Roper: Yes, I’d cut down every law in England to do that!

Sir Thomas More: Oh? And when the last law was down, and the Devil turned ’round on you, where would you hide, Roper, the laws all being flat? This country is planted thick with laws, from coast to coast, Man’s laws, not God’s! And if you cut them down, and you’re just the man to do it, do you really think you could stand upright in the winds that would blow then? Yes, I’d give the Devil benefit of law, for my own safety’s sake!

  11. (((They))) are going to activate The Rule of 7.62 unintentionally. Once applied, nothing will ever be the same again.

    • Every 200+ years is a bit too long, it would appear. Lather, rinse, repeat.

  12. Hey Old NFO;

They like the “Rule of law” when it is convenient for them, when it isn’t then it “Rule of The Mob”. You can’t pick and choose what you want, it is either all or none. That being said, if they ban the original 10 Amendments then noncompliance is a duty.

  13. because there is zero punishment…none…doesn’t matter if they do it, we can do it…nothing happens…no one goes to jail…that’s why they do it..

  14. i have been doing the same since obamy told the court to pound sand. i use my moral compass to guide me.

  15. Heath- LOL, you, me, and a lot of folks!

    Ed- Yep!

River- That works! Better choice than what the administration is using!!!

  16. Checking back with the Townhall.com article today, they have changed the (R) to (D) on Ocasio-Cortez’s party membership.

There is no public admission of having made either the error or the correction.

  17. You’re joking, right? “…to GET our country into deep trouble”?
Friend, this country is ALREADY in deep trouble and it’s been coming on since that senile old fool Joe took up residence in the White House. The work right now must be to get our country OUT of deep trouble before it goes over the cliff.

Our dollar is facing extinction in the world economy, millions of parasites have been flooding over our once-upon-a-time Southern border, the inmates are in charge of the asylum, our military has been hollowed out by woke jackasses…

Need I go on? And we’re NOT going to be able to vote our way out of this mess, AND the government that created this mess has no clue about how to fix the mess they made.
