And we survived Halloween…

Kids were given WAY too much candy… LOL

The mother made sure our house was the first stop!

And a friend brought the boy by for his second halloween!  We are apparently his favorite stop, even if he doesn’t know why! And he was a cute little dragon!

Our collection of pumpkins that were carved Saturday night, and appropriatedly lighted!

And my persona favorite for the best costume of the day/night… The knife is great!

And one of my granddaughter, from California. Sadly they aren’t here, but are having fun and collecting plenty of candy out there!!! And my grandson passed his hunter education class today!

I hope y’all all had a good evening and you don’t have anymore leftover candy… snort…

And we survived Halloween… — 13 Comments

  1. Sad night here … we were SNOWED out! Had just the single ghostie. Thanks so much for you pics. Really making me smile this morning.

  2. I bought a lot of candy, because I wasn’t sure what the turnout would be like at our new place.

We have so much leftover! It’s a good thing we have three kids at home still.

  3. We had one visitor. My wife asked her age and then told her to pick her age from the container.

We rationed ourselves to two selections each, and the left over candy is in the freezer.

Cute costumes and the one your granddaughter is wearing is awesome!

  4. I, unfortunately, live in a liberal poop-hole of a city. Stuck here for reasons, sadly. Given half a chance I’d bail and go just about anywhere else in the surrounding counties.

So we have had, over the 35 years we’ve been here, exactly 5 trick-or-treaters. 5. In a neighborhood full of kids.

Stupid paranoid useless slackbrained and slackjawed leftist parents. Yeesh.

  5. I’m glad y’all had a good time!

Last time I went was when the youngun was a wee thing. I hung back as overwatch, dressed like every day for work with dress shirt and my most boring tie, but with a briefcase. Without fail, the adults disbursing candy would give me the stink eye and ask “What’re YOU supposed to be?” And, without fail, they would scream in terror after I swiveled the briefcase revealing IRS. Good times.

  6. All- Sorry to hear that. We have NO left over candy! 🙂 Robert, that would really be scary!!!

  7. Had a great time here, too. One of our visitors had the same green alien costume.

The Kids and my son absconded with the remaining candy, so no extra calories left here!

  8. Two little ones made an impression:

2 YO asked if she could have one. Gave her two for being polite

Toddler, about 18 mos?, got two little pieces, then wobbled over and hugged my legs. Mom laughed.

    Kids … made my night.

  9. My place never gets trick or treaters because none live close and the school and the local general store both have parties with lots of Facebook advertising. We are in road system rural Copper Basin Alaska.

  10. A friend asked if she could come hang out at my house as there are no trick or treaters at her farm. I of course said yes and rocketed out to the garage to get the Halloween decorations that I never use, because I typically shut off the lights and read a book while listening to music, only to discover that my decorations could best be described as “A Charlie Brown Halloween”. One small string of orange lights and two jack o lantern stick ups to put in the window. Immediately made plans to rocket down after work the next day and buy whatever was left at Hobby Lobby in the way of decorations and whatever was left at the grocery store in the way of candy.

Sadly, she ended up not feeling well and cancelled. Thankfully I hadn’t bought all that stuff yet and so was able to revert back to my typical anti-social behavior. Some things are more fun with someone. Maybe next year.

  11. I decided to give out miniature bags of chips this year, don’t know what the parents thought, but the kids liked it.
