We are the lucky ones that made it back. To all my shipmates, it was always ‘interesting’ serving with you.
And a special thanks to those maintainers who kept our birds flying and allowed us to come home safely. Without you, none of us would be here!

I was kind of disturbed to see all the Veteran’s Day celebrations on social media yesterday as if that were the date.
We always have a Veterans Day assembly at our school instead of the 40 minute study hall. I requested that, as a veteran, I be allowed to have a study hall and not attend the assembly. My request was denied. 🤣

The Merchant Marine is not listed in the VA poster that is the lead. Hard to have military operations with out ship lift…
