Wired is having a hissy fit!
Elon Musk’s takeover of federal government infrastructure is ongoing, and at the center of things is a coterie of engineers who are barely out of—and in at least one case, purportedly still in—college. Most have connections to Musk, and at least two have connections to Musk’s longtime associate Peter Thiel, a cofounder and chair of the analytics firm and government contractor Palantir who has long expressed opposition to democracy.
WIRED has identified six young men—all apparently between the ages of 19 and 24, according to public databases, their online presences, and other records—who have little to no government experience and are now playing critical roles in Musk’s so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) project, tasked by executive order with “modernizing Federal technology and software to maximize governmental efficiency and productivity.” The engineers all hold nebulous job titles within DOGE, and at least one appears to be working as a volunteer.

So they effectively doxxed these young men as part of the hissy fit…
And the left is whining and crying about people having, GASP, access to medical histories, personally identifiable information, workplace evaluations, and other private data!
As if OPM data hasn’t already been compromised by China, unknown number of hackers, etc. I KNOW my data has been compromised at least twice, because I’ve gotten formal letters from OPM about it…sigh
But, but, THIS is different, it’s not the left pawing through the data for who knows what and sending it to who knows who for what purposes.
When you add this to the USAid scramble, the ‘issues’ with access to the Treasury database of who got what and who approved what, this just means the dominoes are falling and when the results get released, there will be names named, and I’m willing to be there will be court cases in the future.
And IMHO, this is LONG overdue. How many trillions of dollars has gone to the third world to be scraped off by NGOs, warlords, and governments in power that did NOTHING for their citizens?
How many years has ‘aid’ in the form of $$$ and food gone into Africa, Central America, and other locations with no measurable improvement?
If you’ve been in the third world, and walked through a bazaar or Souk, you’ve seen USAid wheat and other food products STILL IN THE ORIGINAL BOXES for sale to the highest bidder…
And did anybody else see Chuck U Schumer’s presser about the price of beer and guac? Did you notice how he was smiling??? Corona is cheep beer in Mexico, and California has bigger/better avocados, but the Mexican ones are cheaper, just like tomatoes, and other produce… Or they were…
If the last couple of weeks are any indicator, what is going to come out in the next four years should be really interesting!
I need more popcorn!!!
Vice President Vance comment beginning with ‘I really don’t care Margaret’ would be an appropriate beginning to addressing the Left’s complaints about the ‘New Normal’. They had absolutely no problem using the same treatments on the Right, especially if a ‘Radicalized Trump Supporter’ which was thrown out more than a few times.
Maybe the Left will begin to realize any steps taken by one side will eventually be used on them later.
I think a lot of Democrats are having their rice bowl tipped over. Trump and Co. are threatening the source of the democrats (and RINO’s) power and money. And just like the cockroaches they are, lifelong politicians will scatter and run for cover all the while screaming that this is the greatest threat to Democracy!
No wonder they were so against Ivermectin. Of course parasites would be against it.
I’m curious how much “international aid” actually stayed in America, and how much went to/ through groups that are barred from receiving it…
Don’t forget that past administrations have had young to very young people in high level positions – for example, Monica Lewinsky was 21 when she was a White House intern.
Take a look at DataRepublican’s website to see some of the USAID spending that went to US NGO’s and likely never left. NGO’s run by prominent US politicians of both parties, NGO’s that fund NeverTrumpers, NGO’s involved in censorship…
That the average American would be concerned about the price of avocados and Corona beer is an indication of how out of the the Democrats are. It was a stupid example presented by a stupid politician.
I agree , and also agree in tariffs and the threat to use tariffs as leverage in a new emerging multipolar world . But, I also think about the wiring harnesses and reman parts underneath the hoods of my old vehicles labeled made in Mexico , and of course also labeled China . They have for the most been about 50/50 good or bad . I am on board with tariffs , but the dems are stupid to hold up beer and avocados to represent the extent of trade with Mexico . I ordered a new AC Delco oil cooler hose for my 94 GMC K3500 , and Yep it was labeled made in China . We may need to bring back mfr’g to the U.S. as a hedge against …trade wars? Hopefully quality would be better ….just thoughts I have , but no answers.
A good sign they’re on target is the amount of flack they’re receiving.
And despite the wailing and gnashing of teeth by the left and some I thought were conservative, Mexico and Canada folded and the tariffs are on hold. Panama had given China notice they’re about to be out of the canal business, and there is a little reported deal between the Saudis, Israel, and the US on ending Saudi support for Hamas and Hezbollah.
I’d say Trump is off to a good start.
I heard a statement by some left-tard, sorry I was only listening with half an ear so I missed which one, to the effect that Trump was keeping food from “starving children” in Africa. My giggle-snort reaction was epic. No, I’ve never been to Africa, but I am well aware that in the third world, U$ aid ends up in the hands of corrupt government officials, local warlords(tribal leaders), insurgents, criminal gangs or all of the above. Starving children remain starving, or are sold by their “parents” to both lower the burden on the “family” and to obtain food and/or drugs for the parental units. Hint, practically the only use child slaves have in the third world involves pedophilia.
The left is currently in the temper tantrums phase. Eventually they will realize that screaming and shouting no longer works. Most people no longer care what they are saying because they have lied for so long about everything. Once they realize temper tantrums aren’t working they will move on to actions. I certainly hope Musk has provided security for these people doing his work. Because the left WILL come after these people. They have zero qualms about using violence….if it serves THEIR needs.
All- Good points, and yes, protection is a good idea!
Now do the “National Endowment for Democracy” , and see what you find crawling around when you flip over that dirty old log . For a twofer , look into the “Institute for the Study of War” , hell hit the “think tanks” too , you might find several founding fathers of this bullshit . NGO’s ? My Ass!!!
Boats- Ohhh, I missed that one!
More cowbell is necessary from the democrats.
Shortly after 9/11, the US Men’s National Soccer team traveled to Mexico City to play the Mexican National team. The entire stadium of 80,000 or so kept chanting Osama! Osama! Osama!
This has become a tradition in Mexico City that still continues.
Ever since then, I check everything at the grocery store, and NEVER buy a damn thing from Mexico. Ever. We’ve gone without guac on Super Bowl Sundays before when the only avocados were from Mexico.
I’m happy to do it again.
LL- Isn’t that the truth!
Swede- Agreed!
It’s sad to see Americans ignoring their own principles…
Remember when a Clinton aide said “Stroke of a pen, law of the land. Kinda cool!”
I seem to recall that most Conservative Americans were rather disgusted. Is it really Ok to have Trump ruling by personal decree. That’s where the word “Dictator” comes from. “Because I said so”…..
I’m hearing cheering and claims of a “win” because the Mexicans have promised to do what they promised Biden three-four years ago… and because the Canadians have reiterated a plan that they had announced before the US election. The big win that Trump got for threatening his neighbours, was Canada appointing another bureaucrat. Nothing else is new. The cost is destroying the trust of friendly countries by acting like a blow-hard bully.
Oh….. and does anyone here not understand that a Tariff is A TAX ON YOUR OWN CITIZENS.
No doubt there are some good things, but don’t try to tell me that Musk doing whatever he wants is in accordance with the principles on which your country was founded.
Same for Gabbard. As Allies, we share intel with you. Exactly how do you expect us to respond when that intel will be given to someone who sympathises with people who openly and emphatically state that America is their enemy?
Same with Kennedy…… the kind of goose who believes that weapons-grade biological research is done in tiny, unsecured facilities right across the border from a hostile nation. How gullible is that? He believes it on no more evidence than the claims of the same people who denied that they were invading Ukraine, even as their tanks were lining up at the border. I’m asking again, HOW GULLIBLE IS THAT?
You may like some things that Trump is doing – so do I – but judge his actions according to your principles, not because they annoy some “Lefty”.
“Put not your faith in princes”….
Victoria Nuland under oath answered in the affirmative when questioned by then Senator Rubio whether there were U.S. sponsored biological research facilities in Ukraine . A U.S. company Black and Veatch built several research facilies in Ukraine . They even built one in Odessa , the same city where the Union Hall fire happened where Banderites roasted some Russians in 2014 by locking them inside.
Who are our allies ? The European Union? The elites in the WEF? NATO ? Maybe..just maybe the world has felt enough of U.S. presence , taking the handouts for granted , now let them feel our absence . At this point in time , the U.S. is taking a pause to get our own house in order , which is our right and foremost obligation as a sovereign country . We are not beholden to forever be the world’s policeman and sugar Daddy and coup starter and nation builder . Uncle Sugar has left the building , we may be back at a later date . In the meantime , our great world “neighbors” and “allies” might use this time to do a little house cleaning themselves .
Why do I keep hearing Merle Haggard’s “Fightin Side of Me” in my head ? LOL LOL LOL !
Because you’d rather fight than think?
Do you really think that weapons are the only kind of “biological research” carried out in laboratories?
Do you think that no-one outside of America is doing medical research?
Or that no-one in one is doing genetic research into crops and livestock in one of the biggest agricultural exporters in Europe?
AUSTRALIA has higher-level research facilities than Ukraine, and your own facility in Fort Detrick is a higher level again!
You seriously under-estimate the value of the rest of the world, to America.
Those free-trade agreements you have with other countries? You didn’t sign them for charity. You signed them because free trade was GOOD FOR AMERICA.
America joined in two World Wars, because the enemy decided that it could stop America trading abroad…. you could have stayed out of those Wars by crawling into your shell, but your prosperity depended on trade.
The intel-sharing and basing agreements that you have with other countries – including mine – were not entered into out of charity, BUT BECAUSE THEY SUITED AMERICA.
Yeah, go ahead. Yell “Fight, Fight, Fight”…. One of these days you’ll realise that the price of not having friends, is greater than the price of having them. Whether you have the integrity to admit it, is another question.
