Sigh…

When you’re losing, blame somebody else…

Texas Democratic Senate nominee James Talarico said he believes state laws have stacked the deck against him as he looks to become the first Democrat to win statewide office since 1994.

“Means you’re probably going to have to win by a little more than we would have to in a completely free and fair election,” Talarico said in a recent podcast interview.

Talarico’s posture towards Texas voting laws reflects a broader Democratic belief that Republican dominance in the Lone Star State is due to low turnout brought on by election security measures rather than the state’s conservative leanings — a theory that continues to drive long-running attempts to flip the state.

To put it mildly, Talarico’s beliefs are just a ‘tad’ weird…

His bible interpretations are off the scale weird, and his personality is just flat creepy. Now he’s claiming the deck is stacked against him, since illegals aren’t allowed to vote legally in Texas.

What I’ve seen of his speeches just make the hair on the back of my neck stand up. He reminds me of one of those sleazy TV preachers who says you’re going to hell if you don’t support ‘him’ directly.

YMMV, IANAL, etc…

  1. Hey Old NFO;

Talarico gives me the dirty white van with the “free Puppies” cruising the elementary schools during recess weird. He mixes marxist theology with Christianity to get ot to support his position.

  2. So the left and right basically have dueling conspiracy theories about election manipulation.

    Left’s theory is voter suppression.

    Right’s theory is fraud.

I think fraud is much much more accurate than voter suppression, but Rice-Davies, and also I think that some persons are not valid voters.

Moter voter is outright based on some sociology ‘research’ that purports to show that bad things will happen because of anomie if people do not feel engaged in the electoral process, so it is very important ot make it easy for ‘reluctant’ voters to vote.

However, as a man who is young enough to have picked up a bunch of stats and computer security trivia, it is not clear to me that ‘obvious’ procedural flaws are not at least as much of an anomie problem as the hypothetical reluctant voters. Anyway, the average eighty year old, and the average JD/lawyer are ignorant enough about computers (apparently), to overlook obvious-to-others manipulation issues in electronic voting.

I think that maybe the data interpreted as being black reluctant voters is maybe down to minority-majority districts being a manipulation tool to put communist arsonists in charge of blacks.

And the Democrats have been high on their own supply for at least thirty years when it comes to population models, and estimating the fundamentals of voting in terms of for them, and against them.

The current communist, scholarly, ‘scientific’ model of society is a theory of conspiracy epicycles. A problem that results for communists is that they don’t see a marginal cost for ‘additional’ conspiracy, so they freely do stuff that looks unusually suspicious to people who don’t see conspiracy under every rock and bush.

  3. Have we seen Beto O’Rourke and Talarico in same room together ? Their platforms seem extremely similar. Someone pull Talaricos hair really hard – might pull off the mask and find our old pal Beto !

    • Talarico lives in the fantasy that he is going to win. If the votes of the dead voters, multiple voters, illegal voters and non-existent voters were not suppressed, naturally the Democrat would win.

  4. I suggest he demand only in-person voting, and the voter dips their finger in indelible ink. That, and demanding no mail-in ballots, no absentee ballots, and voter fraud penalties as first degree felonies.

  5. All- Good points and links, thanks! And yes, fraud (however you call it), is in play yet again… sigh I like Jess’ idea, always have!

  6. If people should vote, corporations are people is the whole point of corporations, therefore it would be a racist conspiracy to limit suffrage. However, actual educated adults realize that the point of a corporation is a useful legal fiction, and not an invariant truth of a real philosophy. Likewise, actual educated adults realize that suffrage is for adult human citizens. JDs on these points, over all, are a bunch of screw ups, and have found a harder landing for themselves and for the formal legal system. We disenfranchise people who are not wealthy influence buyers with a sophisticated understanding of how stuff works in reality when we insist that the old corrupt JD self dealing is adequate and definitive precedent for elections.
