It’s on this morning…
California is ‘counting’ votes for not only LA mayor’s race, but the race for the governor’s office. Since these are ‘jungle primaries’, the first two get to go forward for the governor’s office in November.
If no one gets over 50% in the mayor’s race, there will be a runoff for the two top vote getters.
Soooo, I want to hear y’all’s guesses as to how long it will take for California to ‘count’ the votes.
3 days, 5 days, a week, or???
And will we find out how the principalities voted? And when the votes came in???
If the Dems follow their normal ‘playbook’, the major Dem strongholds will be the last ones to report their final numbers, that way they will know how many votes they need in which direction (can you say Virginia, Georgia, NY, and Pennsylvania?), I knew you could…
Iowa, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico, and South Dakota also had primaries yesterday, and those were for both state and federal office, so those will be interesting too!
To ‘my’ way of thinking, NJ and NM are lost causes, they are going to go Dem as usual, so no great loss there, other than for the people who continue to drink the kool aid…
Iowa, Montana, and South Dakota will be interesting to watch, as they have fairly equal voting and seem to obey the rules a lot better than the others.
It just wasn’t worth watching the vote counts last night, as most of the races weren’t getting called at a reasonable hour anyway…
California will take just as long as it takes to “find” enough ballots such that the Democrat wins, and they will take as long as they need to get to that point.
Ugh, repeating myself. The 05:00 coffee has worn off. Time for another.
Datum from Central Valley (and therefore “red”) California…
Poll had 1x touch screen booth and 12x paper ballot booths. No one used the touch-screen booth the entire time I was there, but I had to wait in line for a paper-ballot booth.
Johnny Rocco knew how to do it.
From what I understand, most of the civil offices have Democrat patronage appointments. They will fight any GOP election winner, ala PDJT vs the swamp.
As long as we allow the left to cheat…they will.
All- Good points! As of 1600 today, they have only ‘counted’ 54 % of the vote… How is it that India, a backward country with over 1.4 BILLION people can hold a complete election in ONE day, and so called ‘advanced’ California can’t??? Ag is right, they are ‘waiting’ to see how many votes are needed…
I suspect that California will take the full 30 days to find the ballots they need to complete the count and certify the election.
I still receive ballots in four residences in California to vote for the democrat of my choice. I have been gone from California for eight years, voting in Arizona elections as a resident of that state. It tells you all you need to know.
I’m shocked!
LL- Probably, and not surprised. I’m ‘sure’ somebody is casting your vote ‘for’ you…sigh
Ed- Really??? I’m not!
Here in Arkansas, when we counted votes by hand, the counts were done by midnight on election day. When the electronic voting machines were forced on it, it generally took three days.
That’s progress, right?
