Dilbert…

It’s going to be one of THOSE weeks…

Dilbert

This one has resided for years on the break room bulletin board, and it’s STILL true…

I know this is a case of the pot calling the kettle black, but dammit, WHY don’t folks actually READ what they put in white papers BEFORE they submit it? Cutting and pasting is a time saver, no question. But there ‘should’ be at least a passing continuity between paragraphs. And maybe even between pages???

Sigh…

And tomorrow is another offsite for 8 (yeah, right) hours… I”ve got 10 in the pool…

But at least it’s not raining, or snowing, and I’m not freezing my ass off.

  1. I think that you should become a NYT best selling author.
Then you can retire from your day job, and spend your days deciding whether to spend a few leisure hours penning screeds about old riflemen dressed in gray or to just enjoy the day at the range. Off days are to be spent reloading and shopping for new (or new to you) firearms with long discussions at the gun store about the superiority of the .30-06 over the .308.

  2. I don’t think that you’ll miss it ALL when you no longer have to do it…but there are parts that you’ll miss.

  3. When I worked for the telephone company, where Dilbert got its start, This went on all of the time. One group would charge their time to another group if they helped them.

  4. “WHY donโ€™t folks actually READ what they put in white papers BEFORE they submit it?”

Because they know someone else will find their mistakes and fix them. Maybe you should just pass them on in the original form, and the next day send a revised version with the changes highlighted…

  5. Your problem, friend, is that you still have a conscience. I believe that’s a good thing, but it can be downright inconvenient sometimes. ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. Retirement is great, the only papers/meetings I have to deal with
    are reloading recipes/gun shops;)
