As an old cop, I’ve seen things I hoped to never have to see, and man and woman’s inhumanity to each other knows no bounds. These red flag laws will allow every disaffected ‘other’ to take down someone for little or no reason. The ex-whatever is ticked off, the neighbor who doesn’t like your kids, the criminal who’s been scouting the neighborhood, your boss, your co-worker, your family, ad infinitum. UNLESS there are real felony punishments for anyone who falsifies the information for a red flag alert. And I hope that the laws will include real, investigatable behavior or proof of actions/etc. Otherwise, this will not end well, and people really will die, either by the hands of the police, or those who cause the individual to lose their guns. Sadly, this has turned into a political game, when lives are actually at stake.
I REALLY don’t want to live in interesting times again, but I’ll be damned if I can see a way out of it, the way things are going. The media is at least complicit, if not actively fomenting the divide and hate and discontent, gleefully pandering to the left, yet shutting down anyone on the right who has a counter or is being threatened, as happened with Mitch McConnell’s Twit account, HERE. Because somebody was literally calling for him to be stabbed in the chest.
EVERYBODY needs to back up, take a deep breath, and knock this shit off, before there really is a civil war started. These PC games are starting to take a toll on a lot of folks that, regardless of ethnicity, just want to get on with their lives without them being interrupted.
Oh, and I wouldn’t advise Antifa to show up in Texas again. Much less in El Paso next month. You REALLY don’t want to do that, it’s not Portland. And if you thought you got treated badly in Austin, you really don’t want to go there.
This is just another attack against us in the course of the current civil war. They want us dead, and our culture destroyed. We stand between them and Ultimate Cosmic Power!

Thousands of people traveling on Texas highways with lots of guns and this will the the 26th year for our little group to gather on this Texas High Holy Day.

I’ve seen reports that Castro got at least one name wrong when he listed out the campaign donors. He named a son, who is now fearful for his own family’s safety, rather than the father who actually donated.
If Trump signs into law a red flag law, expanded background or awb he will NOT be re-elected. I would rather know my enemy than expect a friend and get a back stabber.

I wrote my senators & congressman, the governor, and my two state legislators with my urging to focus on mental health, not gun control.
Georgia has some good folks, but one in particular who has been a senator long enough to develop some substantive influence: Johnny Isakson.

Continuation of my comment on LSP’s blog. I’m wondering if we are seeing the left’s version of Operation Mist, aka The Ardennes Offensive/Battle of the Bulge. Their loss with Shillary and the remarkable comeback of our economy under President Trump is rolling back most of their gains/momentum. Is this their last desperate gamble to win it all back?
The attempted doxing of the BBQ joint caused an outbreak of Chick-fil-A fever, as apparently people lined up around the block to get in and show support for the place and the owner.
Seems the days of quietly taking it in the neck are over.

The red flag laws start off being theft and often turn into murder. Either of the police or the victim who shouldn’t have been messed with in the first place.
I am just curious as to how many people would chose between giving up their guns and being killed if they didn’t. I am a gun enthusist but wonder how many people when actually confrunted with that only chose will chose to died. Just a theoritical question, sorry for the misspellings.
