A pox on their houses…

Another day, another ‘spectacle’ in DC…

Members of the United States Senate signed the “oath book” to assume the role of jurors on Wednesday afternoon, set to begin the impeachment trial for Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. After the formal process of convening a court of impeachment, however, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) addressed the upper chamber and confirmed he would attempt to prevent the trial from taking place.

The norm-breaking, duty-abdicating move by Schumer and Senate Democrats upsets 227 years of congressional history.

Full article, HERE.

IMHO, this tells you all you need to know about the Dem/left/MSM/swamp’s belief in the Constitution. E.g. none!

Chuck You got his wish, and much like what Harry Reid did, has pretty much ensured that ‘impeachment theater’ is going to be making regular appearances in the Senate from here on out.

And which ever side has the ‘power’ will drive that ‘theater’ in whatever direction they want it to go, regardless of the actual guilt/innocence of the chargee.

Everybody and their brother knows Mayorkas is guilty as hell of both articles of impeachment (HERE).

You need to think about this and remember it in November…

  1. The people that vote for the demo-rats will always vote for the demo-rats. The only thing dumber than them is maybe, and I stress maybe, a box of rocks.

  2. Hey Old NFO;

    I was listening to the news and they had Schumer on the news and he was saying that this was the most political witch hunt in congressional history and this day will go down in infamy” or some bullcrap like that and I yelled at the radio, “and what about the sh*t y’all did to Trump you self serving a$$holes?” yeah I was a bit wound up while I was stuck in traffic trying to get home, LOL

  3. Mayorkas’ position requires him to enforce the laws as they stand . He has not done so . Pretty damned cut and dried . Just makes a person want to roll through a few stop signs if no traffic is coming , since laws don’t mean shit . I guess speed limits are just recommendations as well , let her rip .

  4. The process to make Congress do what it should is the ballot.
    If the people don’t respond to this outrage via the ballot, the Republic is done. I suspect that is the case.

    • There’s also the option of making the Potomac run red with blood of the politicians, bureaucrats, tyrants, and thugs that comprise the Federal government, the greatest threat to liberty and the Constitution that our nation has ever known.

  5. Every elected person in DC and virtually EVERY appointee and senior person person in that cesspool takes an oath very similar to the one we took that spells out to support and defend the Constitution. I submit virtually every one of the folks are eligible to be charged with the same language as in the first 3 paragraphs of Article 1.

  6. As long as partisan politics is the norm there will never be a successful impeachment. Neither party will ever get the necessary two thirds vote required no matter how egregious the crimes involved.
