A follow-up…

This one came over the transom from the mil-email chain…

While the military “quagmire” in Iraq was said to tip the scales of power in the U.S. midterm elections, most Americans have no idea more of their fellow citizens – men, women and children – were murdered this year by illegal aliens than the combined death toll of U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan since those military campaigns began.

Though no federal statistics are kept on murders or any other crimes committed by illegal aliens, a number of groups have produced estimates based on data collected from prisons, news reports and independent research.

Twelve Americans are murdered every day by illegal aliens, according to statistics released by Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa. If those numbers are correct, it translates to 4,380 Americans murdered annually by illegal aliens. That’s 21,900 since Sept. 11, 2001.

Total U.S. troop deaths in Iraq as of last week were reported at 2,863. Total U.S. troop deaths in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Uzbekistan during the five years of the Afghan campaign are currently at 289, according to the Department of Defense.

But the carnage wrought by illegal alien murderers represents only a fraction of the pool of blood spilled by American citizens as a result of an open border and un-enforced immigration laws.

While King reports 12 Americans are murdered daily by illegal aliens, he says 13 are killed by drunk illegal alien drivers – for another annual death toll of 4,745. That’s 23,725 since Sept. 11, 2001.

While no one – in or out of government – tracks all U.S. accidents caused by illegal aliens, the statistical and anecdotal evidence suggests many of last year’s 42,636 road deaths involved illegal aliens.

A report by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Study found 20 percent of fatal accidents involve at least one driver who lacks a valid license. In California, another study showed that those who have never held a valid license are about five times more likely to be involved in a fatal road accident than licensed drivers.

And what got done Thursday night???  And this is going to ‘end well for America’???

I don’t friggin think so…

A Christmas Ad…

Well worth watching…

And there IS a backstory…

I’ll just have to apologize…

I never wanted to go to Captcha or anything else, but frankly, I’m getting overwhelmed with spam..

I get 800-1000 hits a day average, and I’ve been getting as many as 600 spam hits a day since I posted THIS post. I’m sorry but I just can’t deal with trying to sort through that many spams everyday to try to find the one or two comments that inadvertently end up in the spam bucket…

I hope y’all will understand, and if you drop me, I understand that too…

Sorry ’bout that…

And these two cartoons from Townhall.com pretty much say it all…

Ramirez and Kelly are great cartoonists and manage to get to the ‘root cause’ with a few simple lines…

Ramirez 11 19 14 steve kelley 11 19 14 Pictures ARE worth 1000 words…

Soooo…

We’ve got Ferguson looming, it’s colder than a well digger’s ass, and apparently Keystone got voted down by one vote last night (throwing Landrieu under the bus).  Three Americans were killed in Jerusalem, and everybody is waiting on the other shoe to drop on illegal immigration and amnesty…

Oh yeah, and Gruber… Sigh…

What in hell is going on???

The protesters in Ferguson are sending a list of DEMANDS to the PD??? WTF???

Folks I know in that area, and around here too are locked and loaded, spare mags at the ready and vowing they WILL NOT go easily.  I believe if this is not tamped down immediately, there will be blood in the streets, and it’ll be the looters/rioters blood.  Some folks have been checking their insurance, and apparently they are not covered in case of riot damage.

Landrieu got boned by the Dems, I guess they figure she’s a lost cause, and didn’t want to ’embarrass’ the Prez by forcing him to veto Keystone… LOL  Now maybe LA can actually get a senator that actually cares about the state…

The three Americans killed were, I think, just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Sad and thoughts and prayers for the families.

Illegal amnesty… Sigh… What can I say on this one.  The Senate Dems have held a bill back and refused to send it to the House for action, allowing BO to do his executive action, but they now want to ‘work’ with the Pubs… And I heard today that the MSM is consciously NOT reporting on or minimizing crimes by illegals, but I can’t find the article nor any ‘real’ indication of that.

Every one of these sleazebags need to be voted out in 16… Just sayin…

All this just makes me wonder what we AREN’T hearing about.  With next week being Thanksgiving, and all the hoopla surrounding that along with “Black Friday”, I think I’ll be staying close to home and anytime I go out, I’m going to be carrying.

If nothing else, I’d say stay in Condition Orange and be alert to changes around not only your house, but your workplace. Who knows what’s going to happen…

And I gotta find my other pairs of long johns… sigh

I’ve got nada, so you get a joke…

Digging out from a week on the road…

A good Irish joke-

John O’Reilly hoisted his beer and said, “Here’s to spending the rest of me
life, between the legs of me wife !”

That won him the top prize at the pub for the best toast of the night !

He went home and told his wife, Mary, “I won the prize for the best toast of
The night.”

She said, “Aye, did ye now. And what was your toast?”
John said, “Here’s to spending the rest of me life, sitting in church beside
me wife.”

“Oh, that is very nice indeed, John!” Mary said.

The next day, Mary ran into one of John’s drinking buddies on the street
Corner. The man chuckled leeringly and said, “John won the prize the other
Night at the pub with a toast about you, Mary.”

She said, “Aye, he told me, and I was a bit surprised myself. You know, he’s
Only been in there twice in the last four years. “Once I had to pull him by
The ears to make him come, and the other time he fell asleep”.

And another book signing… Some of my classmates actually bought my book, and brought them to the reunion for me to sign! 🙂  Thanks folks!!!

“You want me to make it out to who? Oh, YOU!  Sorry…”

book signing AHS

45 years…

That’s how long ago I graduated from high school…

Saturday night was the reunion and it was interesting, to put it mildly!  There are always the one or two that never change (check), the ones you don’t remember (check), and the ones that changed so much you had to look at the name tag (check).

And apparently retirement is not all it’s cracked up to be for us old farts.  I talked to 10-12 folks that ‘retired’, and are doing ‘something’ on the side.

Sadly we’ve lost almost 30 of our classmates, a little over 10% of the class.  May they rest in peace.

I guess the one thing that truly never changes is the voice and the personalities! It was a great time, ate too much, and a bunch of us stayed up WELL past our bedtimes…LOL

One of the organizers found two of our coaches from JUNIOR high, and they came.  It’s really scary when BOTH of them recognize you and they didn’t have to look at your name tag… (STILL wondering how the hell they did that, or what ‘I’ did)…

Many thanks to those who put the time and effort into coordinating the reunion and the behind the scenes work it took!

And two more gun pics…

‘Old’ school, Cole Agee engraved .45 for Homer Garrison, Chief Texas Ranger…

DSC01360And ‘new’ school… Trying out a ‘finish’ on a carry Glock… And yes he DOES carry this monstrosity… IMG_1895The Kydex does wear the finish off on the muzzle (no surprise there) and this is a shooter, so it’s also wearing on the back of the slide from jacking the slide ALL the way back (he’s another that doesn’t believe in just knocking the slide lock off and hoping it goes into battery). I ‘think’ he has in the vicinity of 5000 rounds through it since the paint job.

Random stuff…

Last night was our 45th high school reunion… More about that later…

The ‘boys’ out cleaning fish…

And this it Vito ‘hiding’…  My eyes are closed so you can’t “see” me…vito hiding

And this is one rifle I don’t think the gent is going to let his wife see… 🙂

It’s an ‘inlay’ on the bottom metal of a 30-06… I asked if it was ‘autobiographical’ and the gunsmith just grinned…

IMG_1897And one more from the Texas Ranger’s Museum…  A wall of guns!

DSC01354

Actually… NO!!!

DSC01370It really doesn’t…  Unless you like your chicken greasy and gamy…

But I did make a side comment that had a Yankee snorting coffee!

“Down here Armadillo is also called Possum on the half shell.”  His wife looked at he and I like we’d gone nuts… LOL

Now this, on the other hand…

IMG_1900

THIS is real food!  And this was the smaller size chicken fried steak. The large takes up the whole plate!!!  And pecan pie for dessert!!!

Just roll me out with the wheelbarrow…

Texas Ranger’s Museum…

Made a low pass yesterday by the Texas Ranger’s Museum in Waco on my way to my next stop.

If you go, take a bib… You’ll need it to keep from drooling over all the historic guns in there!!!

This one was carried by two generations of the Purvis family as Texas Rangers.DSC01356Bonnie and Clyde… nuff said…DSC01365And it IS Texas…DSC01371If you ever get the chance, it’s WELL worth a stop to see the museum!!!
