It’s official, I’m OLD…

Went down to Dallas yesterday to have dinner with friends. Coming back I decided to take a road I used to use when I was in that area… Cutler Dr. It WAS a meandering 2 lane country road with no traffic lights or stop signs…

WAS… now dead straight, 6 lanes, traffic lights every mile or less. And housing EVERYWHERE… Sigh…

In other news, now the Dems apparently want to keep 5-7000 National Guard in DC until MARCH! WTF??? They’ve had their little ‘insurrection’ theater games, why are they continuing to punish the troops? Or is this the reason???

And it’s apparent this administration is Obummer ver 3.0. Twenty-five EOs in the first three days, and who knows how many ‘directives’ to various organizations. They cannot undo the Trump legacy fast enough, damn the torpedoes and lost jobs, and to hell with unity, full steam ahead!

We know what the current administration and the left think of the military…

Biden’s first act in the Oval Office was removal of ALL the military flags!

Next was ‘background checks’ (e.g. checking loyalty), then the powers that be pushed the National Guard out of the capital (yes, small c), into a parking garage for their bivouac.

A number of governors are just a ‘tad’ pissed. DeSantis (FL), Abbot, (TX), and Sununu (NH) have recalled their Guard folks.

Of course ‘now’ the powers that be, including FLOTUS are out taking pictures with them and trying to mollify them, pandering with photo ops and ‘thank yous’ grudgingly given.

Sigh… The left just doesn’t get it. And day 2 they have lost the respect of the Guard, not that they care, they have their personal security details now and live behind walls, so they’re good to go…

Or the beginning of the end of our republic???

17 EOs and directed actions by Biden in the first rush at the White House, compared to two day one executive actions from Biden’s four predecessors in the White House combined. So much for unity…

TDS has driven the last four years, and continues even now with the Trumps out of office, and the threats against everyone who worked in the administration and supported the president. We know that the left, dems, and MSM stoked the fears of Covid, insurrection, and domestic violence with everything they can manage, all because they hope the American people will turn to the government to save them.

The ‘classic’ thus far is the disrespect of the military, even as they called for the military to come protect them in DC. Requiring all 25,000 soldiers to be ‘vetted’ for purity… TWO soldiers were pulled from the capital region, apparently due to ‘something’ with fringe websites.

MSM isn’t going to let up on the Trumps, the disaffected voters, and conservatives. The banning will continue, even while they keep fanning the flames. My bet is the press will go back to kissing ass with Biden, just like they did with Obama, while continuing to press the domestic terrorists issue against the rest of us.

There won’t be any ‘unity’ forthcoming, unless we bow our heads and admit we’ve been wrong and stop supporting the Trumps etc. I don’t think they understand that all this is going to do is to harden our resistance and make us less willing to accept the blame heaped on our heads.

My question is, how long will the Green Zone continue to exist, and how long will the Capital be fenced off from us? 2 years, 4 years???

Are they that afraid of us?

This is worth thinking about…

I will give the Biden and Harris administration the exact same support, civility, and respect as was extended by Progressives and Democrats  to the previous administration.

Gets better and better…

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, there are 2 million doses of the coronavirus vaccine sitting in cold storage units across the state of California. But the rate of vaccinations has slowed to a crawl and Governor Gavin Newsom suddenly changed the eligibility requirements for citizens to get a vaccine. Counties are crying for more vaccine while many frontline health care workers remain unvaccinated.

And now the military is ‘occupying’ DC… I guess the precious little congresscritters don’t like it when THEY are presented with a situation they can’t control…

The timeline and nature of events on January 6th at the Capitol continue to unfold. Well, the North Texas Writers, Pilots, and Shooters meeting last night was interesting…

Lawdog cooked Green Chile Stew! Excellent as always!!!

We discussed (and cussed)-

How to site and assault an insurgent compound (with topo charts), and various options, including the Rhodesian option.

People who try to turn cats (all sizes) into vegans (doesn’t work as they are obligate carnivores).

I am truly thankful to be a part of this little group. We do have fun!

The Navy has come to its senses in design…

The U.S. Navy’s next-generation frigate, the Constellation class, is a do-or-die effort for the service and a critical test of its return to building ships around existing technologies rather than designing them around technologies in development.

This would put the Navy back in the surface ASW game, which has been bifurcated between missions for the DDGs, forcing them to either do ASW or BMD, as they can’t do both at the same time.

The REAL question is will the incoming administration kill it before it’s ever built. We know they don’t like the military in any way, shape, form, or faction.

Something from back in the day that is becoming applicable here, which is something I thought I’d never say… dammit…

  1. Assume nothing.
  2. Technology will always let you down.
  3. Murphy is right.
  4. Never go against your gut.
  5. Always listen to your gut; it is your operational antennae.
  6. Everyone is potentially under opposition control.
  7. Don’t look back; you are never completely alone. Use your gut.
  8. Go with the flow; use the terrain.
  9. Take the natural break of traffic.
  10. Maintain a natural pace.
  11. Establish a distinctive and dynamic profile and pattern.
  12. Stay consistent over time.
  13. Vary your pattern and stay within your profile.
  14. Be non-threatening: keep them relaxed; mesmerize!
  15. Lull them into a sense of complacency.
  16. Know the opposition and their terrain intimately.
  17. Build in opportunity but use it sparingly.
  18. Don’t harass the opposition.
  19. Make sure they can anticipate your destination.
  20. Pick the time and place for action.
  21. Any operation can be aborted; if it feels wrong, then it is wrong.
  22. Keep your options open.
  23. If your gut says to act, overwhelm their senses.
  24. Use misdirection, illusion, and deception.
  25. Hide small operative motions in larger non threatening motions.
  26. Float like a butterfly; sting like bee.
  27. When free, In Obscura, immediately change direction and leave the area.
  28. Break your trail and blend into the local scene.
  29. Execute a surveillance detection run designed to draw them out over time.

  32. Select a meeting site so you can overlook the scene.
  33. Keep any asset separated from you by time and distance until it is time.
  34. If the asset has surveillance, then the operation has gone bad.
  35. Only approach the site when you are sure it is clean.
  36. After the meeting or act is done, “close the loop” at a logical cover destination.
  37. Be aware of surveillance’s time tolerance so they aren’t forced to raise an alert.
  38. If an alert is issued, they must pay a price and so must you.
  39. Let them believe they lost you; act innocent.
  40. There is no limit to a human being’s ability to rationalize the truth.

Standing in line to use the ONE working payphone at school? And everybody listening to your phone call?

Or when Cracker Jacks had real prizes?

When your grocery store ‘chain’ was either Piggly Wiggly or the A&P? And they had the produce in the front window showing how ‘fresh’ it was?

And you have to give old man Sinclair credit for a dinosaur for a logo based on the then-common idea that oil deposits beneath the earth came from the dead bodies of dinosaurs (and making it really easy to find a Sinclair full service gas station).
