If this isn’t a clusterf**k, I don’t know what is. I’m guessing Trump broke it off in Chuckie’s ass Friday, when Chuckie didn’t stop and crow to the TV cameras about the ‘deal’ he’d cut.

But what really pisses me off, is the folks that can LEAST afford to be without paychecks, like the military and LEOs get shafted while the congresscritters, judges, and the President continue to get paid. Reference, HERE.

The ones that LEAST need the money, gah…

If this crap isn’t a poster child for Term Limits and recalls, I don’t know what is. I’d start with recalls on McConnell, Flake, Graham, Lee and Paul, and go from there. Either that or make them change to Dem, because that is what they really are. Had they voted FOR the CR, the shutdown would not have happened.

There is NO reason for any person to do more than two terms in congress, because they stop representing the constituents, and start making sure they will be re-elected, kowtowing to the lobbyists for money, selling their votes for ‘deals’ that benefit them personally, etc.

Of course the WAPO gleefully published THIS in 2016, when then candidate Trump talked about term limits.

Sounds to me like it’s time for the silent majority to step up again!

Or has anybody else noticed a slow down in the Intarwebz?

All day yesterday, both at work and at home, web pages were slow to load, comments were taking 30-45 seconds to post, and I was getting timeouts on some sites.

Additionally, some sites weren’t loading at all, and searches were taking longer than normal.  Another 39 comments in the spam box when I got home last night, but at least no more trojans were trapped by the malware/virus software.

And a TBT picture… This was probably ’57 or ’58 I was ‘playing’ with dinner… 🙂

Apparently ‘somebody(s)’ didn’t like my post yesterday…

48 ‘comments’ in the spam filter, and two trojans popped up on my machine last night…

One wonders what bot readers the libs are using, and what keyword searches that they are using to ‘target’ those of us who don’t kowtow to them…

The military ‘knows’ Shitholes! And has for years… And sent us to them for YEARS!

You might be deploying to a “Shit Hole”:

  1.  If your boss tells you to update your Gamma Globulin, Yellow Fever, Malaria, Dysentery, Tetanus and other fun immunizations (minimum of 7)- You might be deploying to a Shit Hole.
  2.  If the Mobilization Coordinator tells you not to waste your time bringing a radio, or any other electronics, as there is no electricity and there are no signals- You might be deploying to a Shit Hole.
  3.  If the Travel Pay folks give you a travel advance and the Per Diem rate is only $8.00/day, for everything- You might be deploying to a Shit Hole.
  4. If the “Area Cultural” briefing is only 30 minutes long, but the briefing on communicable diseases is 3 hours long- You might be deploying to a Shit Hole.

Pink Pistols…

Couldn’t help but think of Ray Carter when I saw this article…

The Pink Pistols describe themselves as a group “dedicated to the legal, safe, and responsible use of firearms for self-defense of the sexual-minority community,” helping LGBT individuals who want to learn how to shoot.

One of the more ‘interesting’ comments to me, is this one…

“I’m seeing an improvement because I hang around with a lot of conservatives, I reach out, I turn the other cheek so to speak, but we can have dialogue. And when you start having dialogue, you start seeing people as people rather than us and them. Then that starts people taking a look at coming up with solutions, or addressing problems and coming up with solutions that are acceptable to both sides.”

Ray always said it wasn’t about what a person’s ‘persuasion’ was, it was about shooting and personal safety. He never felt ‘pressured’ by any of us to be anything other than what he was. The one incident I will always remember was at NRA Houston, when he confronted the protesters and went full ‘High Queen’ on them. I have never seen so much confusion in my lift… ROTF!

Ray worked for 2AF, and very successfully too! He’s gone too soon, but it’s nice to see something he helped start is still succeeding!

Sigh…

Welp, no deer again. As a matter of fact, the closest I got to one was driving out of the deer lease…

Another 10 feet, and I’d have popped that sucker with my pistol out the car window! We were driving down a caliche road, fenced on both sides, when we saw a good sized doe. She rand down the road about 20 yards, then started coming back at us.

I stopped, and she kept coming, then jumped the fence about 10 yards in front of us! A little closer and I would have taken that shot! Sigh…

And this morning we found out that in addition to a Jaguarundi on the property, that Lawdog saw last night, there is a mountain lion in the area!

Might have a ‘bit’ to do with the fact we didn’t see any deer in our blinds… Dammit…

But in the good news category, or the you gotta love Texas girls category, your choice; this 20 year old young lady got her first deer on her first hunt! And as you can see, she is cleaning it herself (Granted, she got a lot of advice)!

And there was ‘something’ moving back in the bush on the left side of the clearing, but I didn’t have a clear enough view to shoot. Same as in the morning. Pretty sure it was a deer, but if I can’t tell whether it’s a buck or a doe, and for sure which way it’s pointing, I’m not taking the shot.

But the bright side was two days of no internet, two days of no TV, and a significant reduction in my BP, so I’ll take that and be happy!

I think I just heard the death knell for the national reciprocity!

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) was named to the Senate Judiciary Committee today. What might that mean moving forward for the Senate’s attitude toward potential legislation effecting the Second Amendment? Nothing great.
