The World Health Organization on Friday assigned the Greek letter omicron to a newly identified Covid variant in South Africa.
The U.N. health agency recognized the strain, first referred to as lineage B.1.1.529, as a variant of concern.
Health experts are deeply concerned about the transmissibility of the omicron variant given that it has an unusual constellation of mutations and a profile that is different from other variants of concern.

Frazzled…
Even with help, doing our delayed Thanksgiving dinner wore my butt out…
Cooked a 19lb turkey Friday. Yesterday morning started with the sweet tater casseroles (2- One with real pecan topping, one with those marshmallows), then the corn bread dressing, then the green bean casserole…
Next was reheating the turkey, breaking out the ham, getting the spare table set up to serve from…
Folks brought munchies and desserts- two pecan pies, an apple pie, a pumpkin pie, a lemon refrigerator pie, and an English trivet.
Fed 18, and cleaned up. And I was done!!!
But, having said all of the above, it was still great to get together with folks and just enjoy the good fellowship!
It was obviously a BORING news week in our little town…
Unlike the MSM, the reporter played it straight with me, and the article is accurate! Although she did get one series title wrong… But nobody is perfect…LOL

How the narrative changes depending on the ‘players’…
The Waukesha massacre doesn’t fit the narrative the mainstream media typically likes to promote, so they’ve been generally trying to ignore it.
If certain details were different, the story would be getting endless coverage and analysis. But, even when the MSM does cover it, somehow, they manage to beclown themselves.
Case in point: The Washington Post. The Jeff Bezos-owned publication published an in-depth analysis of how the massacre unfolded, declaring, “Here’s what we know so far on the sequence of events that led to the Waukesha tragedy caused by a SUV.”

What Was on the First Thanksgiving Menu?
Little is known about the first Thanksgiving dinner in the Plimoth Colony in October 1621, attended by some 50 English colonists and about 90 Wampanoag American Indian men in what is now Massachusetts.
We do know that the Wampanoag killed five deer for the feast, and that the colonists shot wild fowl—which may have been geese, ducks, or turkey. Some form, or forms, of Indian corn were also served.
But Jennifer Monac, spokesperson for the living-history museum Plimoth Plantation, said the feasters likely supplemented their venison and birds with fish, lobster, clams, nuts, and wheat flour, as well as vegetables such as pumpkin, squash, carrots, and peas.
“They ate seasonally,” Monac said in 2009, “and this was the time of the year when they were really feasting. There were lots of vegetables around, because the harvest had been brought in.”
Much of what we consider traditional Thanksgiving fare was unknown at the first Thanksgiving. Potatoes and sweet potatoes hadn’t yet become staples of the English diet, for example. And cranberry sauce requires sugar—an expensive delicacy in the 1600s. Likewise, pumpkin pie went missing due to a lack of crust ingredients.
And the whole food coma thing? Well, that’s yet another myth…
It’s not the tryptophan in the turkey, it’s the booze, the amount of food (those second and third helpings of Granny’s sweet potato casserole and the pumpkin pie), and the sheer relaxation (other than the family fights/looney Uncle) and not having to work the next day…
